Meant to get these out before WK1 but I didn't quite get to it. I'm aware of WK1 but not really going to over-react to one game for the most part.
Hopefully the 4 of you who each own 3 teams and have 11 multi's enjoy!
1. Florida Frenzy
The 2x reigning Champs have to take the top spot. Can the rest of us combined at least get one of the two championship teams to make d40 climactic? Probably not, but we are all still here so might as well try.
2. Asau Golden Eagles
Last season I pre-season picked them to miss the playoffs. Then ended up winning silver and making a mockery of my sacrid rankings. NOT AGAIN. #2 finish = #2 ranking for now. This ranking stuff is ezpz...
3. Tyrrhenian Sea Wasps
What ranking would be complete without me over-rating the team I OC? Probably a coincidence, but TSW made WL final-4 last season, and had the largest margin of victory (21 pts) wk1 over SWAT. Some circles have even prophesized that the reign of "The Agency" will soon be upon us, lieing dormant since s79.
4. C-Town MF'n Hood
Red and Tom just took down BiA in a narrow victory week 1. They are also the most recent team not indoctrinated by the eloquently named "Mystery DC Network". Further Tom, Red, and crew get to focus on 1 WL team, which could pay dividends.
5. Brothers in Arms
Mauler, despite being a self-proclaimed dotball cheater, was able to make the final-4 last season. The question is, does having 4 teams in WL once again lead to distraction and more losses, or perhaps somehow does it lead to more wins?
6. Orlando Prime Timers
This Mystery DC Network team is probably too low. But lets face it, they haven't even won WL since s91 (and s90), so these dinosaurs are likely washed up and never to be seen again at the apex of browser-based dotball competitions
7. Back Street Bad Boys
Nex/Bob tend to stay relevant in the regular season, though they haven't been able to have much playoff success with their current coordinators in the s90's. New group of dots, but the past group with their current OC in s90+s91+s93 went 0-3 in the playoffs averaging 13.3 pts/game. Those are Mauler offense type numbers and I know you guys can do better! Tighten it up!
8. Dogs of War
Narrow 4-pt victory over War Machine week 1 gets them this spot. Can Mauler hit 30 pts in any game this season? I'm taking bets!
9. WAR MACHINE
This mystery team owned and ran by people who never say anything and are probably bots, was a very competitive 7-6 last season before dropping their final 3 and almost getting kicked out of WL. Still, a strong offense leads this competitive group.
10. All The Kings Men
I want to clarify that this team is a KoB team, who simply has Mauler as an OC, but is not a Mauler team. Though KoB has (oddly?) declined to agree not to cheat nor throw games nor win-trade, so I suggest we all keep our eyes peeled just in case there is foul play on the horizon. Wk1 win over Jersey gets them the 10th spot.
11. Jersey Showboats
I rank these fuckers low every year then the "Mystery DC Network" gets all 4 of their teams into the WL playoffs every year. The rest of you afk noobs, just beat this team for the love of all that is holy...
12. SWAT Team
Got blown out wk1 by TSW. Will they go 0-16 losing 16x by blowouts? TBD.
