well lol because we all know no changes are happening at this point, but economically speaking, there has to be a way to make it profitable for Bort, while still providing an incentive to build dots the original way. I don't think handicapping insta-pro dots on build would work, but I am sure some would pay a premium in Flex to have an instant dot. Maybe 10% higher over the cost of a standard build dot. Would be enough incentive to still build the original way, but the ability to spend extra on instant dots if needed for a pro or WL roster.

I don't think completely instant dots are a good idea, but being able to "turbo boost" an existing dot, like just fast-forward a season or 3 would probably be cool. It would incentivize always having young dots around.

This would be a new button on the player page, that you could hit and advance the player's age, and get most the associated TPs (maybe like 40 age days worth--80 TPs) , the Levels associated with that season, and unlock the next season's boost. Make it cost flex to use, on top of the usual flex cost for boosting. ((So "free" player slots wouldn't be free anymore using this feature, they'd pay the Turbo cost at least.))

It wouldn't be as complex as a VPB... just add 40 to the players age, give 80 BTs, X amount of levels and SPs, and reset boost availability.

Dots built the traditional way would get the advantage of all the off and preseason TPs (32 more?)

Maybe have 3 of these boosts available for a player's career..?

And BT's? How to calculate those because they're tied to training and whether or not someone is using multi-training or one of the other 3 (light, medium, or intense)? That's where I always see the issue. Figuring out TP is easy. Figuring out SP is easy. Figuring out XP is easy. Trying to guess how each build is being done for correct application of BT's? Not easy.

Umm. What?

BTs are up to you. You get the raw materials. What you build with them is up to you.

I'm just saying, this would be a quick and easy way to get "instant dots" basically hit a button to run the nightly roll over script 40 times. Daily TP, daily XP, add made up game XP,
do the associated level gains as usual.

After hitting the button you'd have a glut of TPs and SPs that your have to figure out what to do with. Train some, spend some SPs, then train more then spend more etc.

Yes, it would mean for those that did optional feature, they'd need to figure out new math for builds.

The financial aspect would be easy to fix, insta-dots could only be purchased via FP, not RP or free dots.

But wouldn't an insta-dot by way easier to build a great dot? The problem now with dot building is often you have to chose when to boost vs training gains vs leveling up. Granted that I am not a great dot builder, but if given everything in one chunk, I am sure that I could build a spreadsheet that would help me build much better dots.
