Glb2 should introduce packages to the depth chart. This will help the CPU to know to take out blocking TE on 3rd and 18, etc.
First, we should be allowed to set substitutions based on skill or energy. Then we can select a skill-based package for each play easily.
Currently subs only happen based on energy or sub-frequency choice. Substitution frequency does not address player skill. Packages will allow our best personnel on plays based on the selected skill.
For packages;
If we call an offensive running play and are set to Skill-based subs our best run-blocking linemen should be in the game regardless of energy. To make this happen we selected skill-based run substitutions instead of energy, then we select the skill package we want; Run Block Subs. In this instance, the CPU would never put in a pass blocker or will select the player at that position with the highest selected skill.
For Defense, the same could apply. If subs are set to skill base then the best defenders for that setting should appear on the field.
Skill-based categories for the depth charts could occur as a drop-down box on the actual play selection screen. If a play is in your playbook, you can click the drop-down and select a package of the subtype for that play.
Offensive packages:
Speed package: Skill for assessment: Speed, Quickness, and Conditioning
Run blocking package: Skill for assessment: Hold Ground, Break Run Block, Quickness Balance
Pass blocking package: Best pass blockers.
Outside run package: Best pulling guards and run blockers.
Possession package: Best hands and CIT.
Etc..
Defensive Packages
Run stopping
Pass man
Pass Zone
