How high does jumping need to be, for hurdle to be effective on a powerback? What would be the minimum? Thanks

1-cap is cheap and easy and will get er done. So that's training into the low 30s, cap at 49 and roll it to 50.
2-cap makes it visibly more effective. Any more than that, and the cost starts to outweigh the benefit, but does make it a little better.

50 absolute minimum, 55 preferred minimum, 60+ ideal (as long as it doesn't effect the other parts of build)

Currently sitting at 50 jump, last season to finish the build. This is great info. Thanks for the replies!

I have a hard-hitting rushing QB with 43 in Jumping and 10 in Hurdle. Hurdle fires, but not as often as Power Through does, so I kinda wished I'd spent the points in Jumping and Hurdle on something else instead. Getting Jumping higher than 43 would've hurt other parts of the build though, so that's why I stopped there.
Just thought I'd toss in an extra data point.

I've become a believer in the 'either or' mentality to building PHB's (Or PHB style RQB's, FB's, or even Receivers). Either go with Hurdle and make jumping a part of the build... or go with Power Through and don't worry about jumping as much. I'd say for RQB's like you mentioned, PT would be the likely better choice since 'Hurdle' requires more jumping than you're likely to build into the dot.

If done right, there is more than enough room to add hurdle into a power through build. That is kind of the whole reason it became a thing. There really isn't anything else to spend it on and at some point there is only so much you can put into strength, carrying, power through and dive4yards. Hurdle is an excellent compliment on a well built power HB

For a Power HB, sure.
For a Power QB, which is what Theo and I are talking about...

I'm guessing sacrificing some from Speed, Vision, Stamina or Confidence wouldn't have hurt the build as bad as you think.. JMO

I use mine weird though. Most Power QBs that I've seen are built for QB Sneaks, but mine is intended as an outside runner. Waaaaaaaay back in the 30s, on an earlier version of the Palookas, we had two different agents build two different running QBs. One built his as a typical speedster with lots of avoid tackle stuff. The other guy was going to also, except his first AEQ roll was a +5% Break Tackle piece, and on a whim, he grabbed it and adjusted his build plan around it. I thought he was crazy... until he started outperforming the avoid-tackle QB.
Ever since, I've built QBs that are designed to get outside quick and then break tackles. I already go with a little less Speed so I don't outrun my blockers, but I need Vision so I can read when the defense shifts heavy to the outside and find a cutback lane -- get a surprising number of big gains that way. I'm a big believer in Confidence, so that would just leave Stamina to cut back on.
I dunno though... I find Power Through fires about twice as often as Hurdle on my QB. I definitely love Hurdle on a good power HB though, for sure. And it's not like the PT/Hurdle combo makes my QB suck... he's pretty good, but I can't help but think he could be better.

I know. Then RyanCane posted that 50 Jumping is "absolute minimum," and I thought it might be helpful to provide an example of what it looks like if you don't hit that "absolute minimum." What it looks like is that Hurdle still fires, but it starts getting iffy.
It was also a chance to pick RyanCane's brain, and I never like to pass up that opportunity.
