It's bad, like really, really bad.

This guy has 62 RBA, 78 LBA, runs DIRECTLY into the only blocking interation in a wide open field and just... stands in it until a jostle from the block lets him pass through... a guy with 25 LBA shouldn't do this. May be scripting here?

Same guy, same high numbers, it's insanely bad how far ahead they are willing to run from the HB and completely ignore defenders. It's good to ignore defenders who can't catch up... but he's way out of position. This is where a little scripting would be good, to prevent the FB from just running away from a HB who is too far behind him or hasn't started running yet. Should be a moderately difficult check, but it's something every FB fails at the moment.

LBA in general isn't working well to help blockers avoid each other enough, it's nowhere near as effective as pursuit in that regard. My line is all fairly high in it and they all just turn into a clump of goo here when 5 blockers get caught up in 3 defenders whom they can't navigate around/though properly.

I suppose these problems might disappear around 85 LBA, but when defense loses these kind of issues around 45 pursuit it's a bit disheartening to say the least to still see them crop up on players with over 70 of the 'counter' to pursuit.

He went to block the FS as soon as the FS turned to run towards the sideline. He just happened to get caught up in the blocking of the WR/LB. Now, he should have ran around the blocking interactions...I will give you that.

That's entirely the point, he ran himself into it like it wasn't there, trapping himself. It's like when a defender bites down aggressively on a run and traps himself despite the run going outside - only happens with super low pursuit/CS firing or when a wide open lane exists - clogged lanes and the defender will want to stay 'over' it all til the HB chooses a lane and makes his direction clear or he has to sprint to the sideline.

The FB here should have wanted to say 'under' that interaction until he was clear where FS/HB were going, he ran inside/directly at the block like the play was already determined to be going there, just like the poor pursuit player would.

This has annoyed me a lot this season.
