New York Mambas @ The Program
This should be a tough match for the Mambas. Owner / coach Rowlyb is relatively inexperienced compared to The Program’s impressive coaching staff. Another huge factor in The Program’s favor is their roster, a roster full of human dots with optimized builds including 9 S*s. Opposed to an all CPU roster for the Mambas. BUT this is rookie ball, stranger things have happened. If The Program loses this game there will be some upset coaches, agents / players and owner at ESU.
Players to watch:Superstars HB Darnell Jefferson, TE Rob Groncowski, WR Julian Edelman, LB Alvin Mack and Steve Lattimer
Lorlea Beach Red Devils @ House Party
This matchup will be similar to the Mamba / Program match up. The House Party has a roster full of human dots with optimized builds including 9 S*s and a roster of coaches that are equally impressive in experience. Lorlea’s owner / coach is and has been inactive BUT a number of quality agents are trying to fill the Lorlea roster with some excellent human built dots. House Party should win this one but it could be a trap game for them this early in their rookie campaign.
Players to watch:Superstars QB His name is too long for me to bother, HB Rough Draft v3, TE Super Polly Grip, WR B-Fine, FS The Joker and SS Rodney Harrison
Team BETA @ Daytona Speed
This matchup is intriguing. Ph33p is the more established coach but he is playing with a full CPU roster and has not even dished out high contracts which makes me wonder how invested he is in this team. ZoeyRules has been around for awhile and is improving greatly. He has built his players for his team, he has 3 S*s and key players on high contracts. I hate picking against my friend Ph33p but I have a sneaky suspicion that Daytona Speed is going to win this one in a photo finish.
Players to watch:Superstars HB John Epps, and WR Vance Blundin
Deadpool’s Mercs for Money @ Vinland Scholars of Vega
Come on guys, what is it with the long team names? Deadpool needs to hire some mercs. They are facing a roster full of DallasCowboyFan built dots, sure to fit his scheme. It looks like DallasCowboyFan is going the zero S* route. I do not think the Mercs will have enough firepower to keep up with the Scholars in this one.
Players to watch:Vinland QB Vail La Croix (it is too early to pick anyone else)
Grape Apes House of Slombo @ Airborne Screaming Eagles
Ok, 15 S*s…really…c’mon man! I was happy with The Program’s roster with 9 S*s but rabidlizard and his staff of brainiacs found a way to roster 15 S*s. That coupled with ASE’s full CPU roster does not bode well for the Eagles or pretty much anyone else in the league. *polishes the championship trophy before handing it to rabidlizard*
Players to watch:Too many God damn Superstars to pick from! I might be a wee bit jealous.
The Practice Squad @ Nebraska Cornhuskers 2001
A vipermaw, dlcurt and jay529 collaboration is sure to be competitive. Bodiddly teams usually scare me. He is good enough to beat many teams with an almost all CPU roster but I am not so sure he can overcome some of the S* ladden rosters with the collaborations of experienced coaches that are going on here. I think Nebraska will take advantage of the CPU roster and win a close one.
Players to watch:Superstars HB Cory Ross, FB Judd Davies, LB Barrett Ruud, SS Josh Bullocks and FS Daniels Bullocks
Early Play-off picks (based on current rosters)
#1 Gamma Division Champs ~ Grape Apes
#2 Alpha Division Champs ~ The Program (I am being optimistic / hopeful here)
#3 Beta Champs ~ Vinland Scholars
#4 Wild card ~ House Party
Championship: Grape Apes defeat The Program (I am not that optimistic)
