what are the must haves?

I always find myself begrudgingly push carrying, because i know its needed. Are there people who are excited about filling that carrying bar? where should I put strength/speed./agi?

102+ strength
135+ speed (after equipment)
95+ carrying
85+ agility
55+ jumping

Break Tackle % Equipment, Power Thru & Hurdle SA

2. Surge: 102 strength, 96 carrying, 85 speed, 85-87 agility, 61-65 stamina, 40 vision, 40 confidence, 10 Lower Shoulder, 10 Power Through, 10 Dive For Yards, 10 Surge, 2x Break Tackle

Just a question here regarding vision being at 40, I have seen hb's with a lot less vision (like it was disregarded all together) and done well.
Do you really need to put anything in vision?

Probably, it's needed for SYM VA.

SYM is not required.. If he's needing to break tackles behind the LOS you're already in trouble

So then if you don't need SYM then you can probably do without putting pts in vision or even train the dot

But even the best O-line is going to occasionally let a defender through. In those cases, I'd like to be able to salvage something, even if it just means no gain instead of losing 3 yards.

I'd wager the vast majority of TFLs are on pitch or screen plays and most powerbacks are not carrying Head Fake, Juke or Spin to even take advantage of SYM. So the benefit for inside rushes to me is minimal and not worth the investment not only in vision but the VAs in SYM.

Now a speed/fake RQB or a RQB with spin, I could see the benefit.

Over the last 8 games I was able to find 4 TFLs on the Frenzy's main RB.. All were outside pitches where we aren't utilizing the SAs that SYM assists anyway.

Okay, but remember, you're not just looking for TFL plays... you're looking for any play where the RB gets hit behind the line of scrimmage, whether it results in a TFL or in a missed tackle. Otherwise you're not looking at a complete sample set.

You do have me curious though. I'll have to study our power HBs and see how often they get hit behind the line of scrimmage on inside plays.

My RBs don’t use SYM so if it’s a missed tackle behind the LOS that illustrates even more how unnecessary SYM is

One of mine from a few seasons back...wasn't too bad. Never saw the need for SYM though...
