Maybe I was wrong about the vision thing- I noticed my pRB juking a CB out of his shoes:
https://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=3076629&pbp_id=615402
It seems to be an intCB, not a covCB though, so maybe that has something to do with it. Often the intCBs aren't as good at avoiding fakes as the covCBs are...

um.....why would anyone build a cover CB that isn't an intercepting CB?

I have before, back in the day. Always felt a PD was as good as an INT especially if your CB gave up lots of receptions and YAC because they couldn't be as effective with PD's when all those extra SP's were going into Catching instead of other skills, including tackling and strength. Now that I've built a couple of cover LB's I know you can still get a quality PD dot and have INT as well. Still won't be as good at tackling PHB's but, hey... that's why you have HH CB's, right?

I used to believe there was a difference. Turned out I was just looking at badly-built INT CBs.

I have since learned that the things that make a CB good at interceptions also happen to make them good at deflections and coverage as a by-product, so you may as well build for INTs. Otherwise you're handcuffing your build.

So Sunder asked me to post this dot here in this discussion.
https://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/player.pl?player_id=4777444

He is at 158.76 speed with Track star. Miscalculated my BT's so only +57 in EQ or he'd have 159.76.

Sounds like the consensus here is too much vision and carrying. What should I have done differently?

Just personal preference as discussed earlier but I make my dots with 10 less vision and carrying and 5-6 more speed. First Step to 10 as well.

Speed WRs don't really thrive in my offenses though so I could be completely off base.

he has a nice target to reception ratio so obviously it is working decently

I usually get over 100 natural speed, less vision, less carry and more SA's - 9 or 10 across the lower tree except for Spin

with this said. I hate building WRs. I just do it cuz I don't want anyone else spending flex for a WR.

32 carry, 0 fumbles

I like the build my only critique would be at least 70 vision on a fake build and 62 stamina...I could carry less about confidence, but I understand why you took it to 40

I seem to remember a conversation (jeeze... like decades ago) about how Carrying helped with catching. I know it helps avoid KL's... was that it or was there more?
