Sure... several long time complaints could be posted here about various 'errors' or missed opportunities... but I'm here to lament the LB. Specifically, what in the hell were they thinking... to create a POSITION... but not a dot template for it. Coverage LB's are one of those. You can BUILD one... but it has no SA tree. Coverage CB's do. Coverage SS's do. Coverage FS's do. What happened here? How hard would it have been to simply make a 3rd SA tree for Coverage LB's? The two SA trees offered are little to no use at all... you pretty much must make your OWN SA tree for them. (steps off soapbox) Ok... rant over. Play ball.
Forum > FAQ's, Player Guides and Newbie Help > GLB hosed it.
I've been on that soapbox with you in the past. What were they thinking? There weren't.
That's one of the main reasons I haven't made a LB in ages.

This was my best attempt at it, and I hate how much I feel like it’s the best I could do, but still a suckass build.

just add Sticky Hands as the extra SA for a coverage LB and you are fine
all AE should be % stuff for most defensive dots anyway

Not an INT build but probably the best I've been able to do so far.

To be fair, you built that dot in spite of the lack luster LB archetypes, not because of them.
Bort hated LBs, and he made it up to them in GLB2, instead of adjusting things here. The coverage LB is the most attribute optimized for its role, it just doesn't have SA support. It's probably the "best" type of LB we have.
Every DB archetype is perfect for its role. The DTs and DEs are perfect at least for what they do. The LB archetypes stick out like a sore thumb.
Bort even went so far as to break the compromised Combo LB, by sticking it with a major in Confidence instead of something useful. It was already much less desirable because of the 0.4 ALGs.
Unfortunately this breaking news flash is about 11 years too late.

But if the Safety positions has such perfect SA trees shouldn't they be outperforming the coverage LBs?

Oh I get what you're saying
Growl, Snort, Fart and all the other bodily function SAs that LBs get are the key to getting MVP?
Who knew

This team, the Charleston Chiefs, they must have so much of that growl, snort and fart that our QBs were down to 50 morale in the second quarter, though we were wiping the floor with them. I've never seen anything like it. It kept the game close-ish on the scoreboard, though it was actually one-sided.

Maybe all that fart and snorting does more than it seemed... who knew? Maybe they had to give their whole D-line 20 of it to do that. I don't know and they haven't said. Maybe its still not worth it but its interesting to actually see it have an effect

his early pick didn't help
later had a fumble
2.5 yards per carry
how bad does his morale get in other bad games?
what is his confidence?

yeah, probably because she had under 60 morale at that point in the 1st quarter, but for no play-related reason. She had never been under 60 in any game at any time at any point in her career- and that includes a couple games we were beat badly in WL when we already had nerfed morale going into the game. I think her confidence is in the 50's; our pQB had around 90 confidence and even he finished the game with around 60 morale although there was hardly a play to decrease his morale. He's never been under 95 morale for a second in his career. Every play our dual threat QB lost about 10 morale and the pQB around 5 morale, regardless of the outcome. I've never seen anything like it. Challenge them- you will see. I'm not saying it is necessarily a good strategy because we still won fairly easily, but still, its something I've never seen to that extent before. IDK how no one else has ever remarked on it before. Casual, I guess...
