It's about as anti-clamactic as couold be - yeah yeah ladder ladder but it's almost a big downhill slope.

May I recommend moving the ladder to Day 1 (Assigning it via random draw) and then simply moving the league game that usually kicks off the season to follow that.

Agree. Last game of the season should be the league championship games.
