I guess it was the name that threw me, since parts of Virginia are actually father west than West Virginia. North Virginia would have made way too much sense I guess.
Like from if you were to fly from Roanoke Virginia nearly due north to Pittsburgh PA, you have to fly over West Virginia. It turns out, you can be in West Virginia and be more north than Pittsburgh...
