Aura of Intimidation is a permanent radius, like a search light. When a dot enters the radius they have a chance to be "lit up", based on their Confidence. If a dot leaves the radius, they go dark.

Auras can overlap which increases the chance a dot will get lit up.

The value is in dots that can do something to the affected dot to make use of the reduced attributes, like an O-line scoring a Pancake, or a Pummel tick.

Wasn't there a whole discussion about how any player can only be affected by AoI once per play? Is that not the case, or is that still the case? I always figured AoI was calculated at the snap, but I guess it makes sense because I've noticed ball carriers sometimes randomly lose a point of morale at some point during a long run and I always figured it was from a stray Snarl, though no one was close enough to attempt a tackle. It makes sense it was an AoI. Also unless I'm mistaken I haven't seen it happen more than once per play, so that might line up with the 'only can be affected once per play' theory.

Wasn't this thread about SV though? I can't even remember what the original topic was. I just read something interesting about SV that would explain some of the things I've seen posted about lately. It seems that when a player has already been hit by a fake, SV can nullify or seriously reduce its affect. I knew it was something like that because often our CBs will get faked but there is no noticeable reaction to that fake. It was from an old ass thread with Bort and maybe in the last 10 years it changed, but I'm willing to bet that's probably why guys get confused when a player gets hit with the 'fake' icon but still goes to the right place. Just thought I'd share that tidbit since the thread is called SV
