I've always built custom AEQ, but I'm thinking of shopping more. However, I need clarification on what I can do after purchasing a piece in the store.

For example, if I get a piece that looks like this:

Superior Brown Cleats
+3 strength
+1 Lead Block SA
Cost: 13 Bonus Tokens

After I purchase it, am I limited to only doing upgrades, or can I also add a +3 attribute bonus and a +% bonus like I would when building custom AEQ?

I'm assuming that, in the example, the +3 strength is the attribute bonus (and I wouldn't be able to add another one) and that the +1 Lead Block would prevent me from adding a +% component, correct?

Another exampe would be if you got a +3 strength only then you will be able to enhance it with a % eq pc or whatever you choose

also, if you get a +1 strength, +3% hold block. When you max it out, it will be at +11 strength and 13% hold block.

so only buy the pieces you can get to +13 and +15%.
