Nah, I shouldn't be using this thread like this. I know how much work goes into rankings like this because I've done them before, and I know how annoyed I'd be if someone hijacked my rankings thread to argue with someone who doesn't even have a team in the league. My apologies for that.

Well, after 2 weeks in league play there has only been one upset according to these rankings, so it seems fairly accurate so far as that goes. There are just a few things I might debate:

Nemesis lost badly to Houston. That is the one upset so far- it could indicate that Nemesis is too high in the rankings.

You forgot the Trash Pandas in NA Pro. I don't think that really affects the rankings greatly.

I still think the NA Pro teams overall are under ranked. This might be my own unconscious bias, but non-league results, for what that is worth, seems to bare that out. Or is it bear that out? Idk 🐻but we have a lot of wildlife up in here

2 games in the books. Top 4 stay the same, may take some tournament action for the other leagues to move up with those SAPL and EPL powerhouses.

How is epl rated so high when those teams have yet to play anyone at the Pro level? Also how does Austin move up and FFG stay the same after FFG just dominated them? It doesn't look like you are really taking results into consideration.

I haven't looked at a lot of rosters, but either Adriatic is ranked too high or Pro really sucks.

Pro's don't start until the PO's start. It has been that way for quite some time now.

I fixed some of the most glaring errors. Not saying it's perfect by any means, but it better reflects results which have already played out. It won't be long until we get information which could make the rankings much more (or less) clear.

But overall, there's still a lot of "give a man a reputation as an early riser and he can sleep until noon" going on, as Mark Twain said. There is going to be a certain level of expectation in any rankings at this point simply due to the fact there really isn't enough actually-relevant information yet available.

Of course I did as that is what I was getting at. The fact that anyone cares about them at all is somewhat ridiculous in the first place as ranks literally mean nothing.

The purpose of rankings is not to figure out how the teams are ranked.

The purpose of rankings is to give us all something to talk about.

Wait, do you mean the rankings mean nothing, or the Pro Leagues don't? Of course the rankings don't- its just something to be interesting and to argue if you disagree. On the other hand, no one can say Pro Leagues mean nothing. 4 teams will advance to WL. Right there that's more something than most of GLB. But as I'm saying this I'm realizing that's probably not what you meant. So, yeah...

Rankings mean nothing but if a team doesn't live up to their rankings (or what they argue it should be) then they look like they shit the bed, and no one wants that, so we better keep burning the midnight oil to make sure that doesn't happen lol

he is saying Pros don't start until the playoffs start, and even some of those games will be against CPU's

it is also why most National Pro teams head right back down to National Pro after 1 season in WL - they play mostly crap teams and have a great record because of that

Most of the Pro teams that have recently been able to stay in WL were in fact just added teams of existing WL owners
