HB runs past the LDE at tick 48. LDE begins pummeling the QB at 65. Glad there are no penalties in GLB2, because my DEs play like they're on the Green Machine in The Longest Yard...

I'm not sure what makes the DE continue on and hit the QB (low Blitz Aware?), however, when he does, it lowers both the QB's Morale and Endurance by 10 or 11 points.

So, even though it IS pretty funny, it's actually detrimental to the QB.

I know. I just post these plays because they amuse me, but I'd rather see him stopping the ballcarrier than assaulting the helpless QB. His Blitz Aware is 45 as a Sophomore, btw.

It's a Blitz Awareness check.

I gave up using it on my TV DL with KY and just accepted we were gonna beat QBs like they owed us money.

I’m a real life coach and if I could get away with doing this in real life, I would all day. OLD SCHOOL!

Yeeeahhh... pretty sure GHSCA would frown upon that sort of thing.

Love when that happens

That QB better start pumping toughness.

I'm just thinking if his Blitz Aware is that high and he does this, I wonder if you kept the DE & DTs Blitz Aware to minimum (made it high on LBs to compensate) then just let them go after the QB to lower his morale & endurance play after play, would that work?

I never put any blitz awareness on any D-Linemen. Most of the time, if a D-Linemen has a chance to make a tackle, the HB is running up the middle or off tackle and runs right into the D-Linemen, who has to shed the block anyway. I put blitz awareness on many of my LBs.

That's actually crazy enough that it might work...

I’m creating a rookie next season to test this

The only problem with no blitz awareness on DEs is when the DE breaks loose super early and runs by the HB on an outside run/pitch, allowing the TE and OT free reign to seal the edge and it's a TD.

Yeah, sacrificing TFLs for beating up QBs is problematic.

I feel like you need blitz awareness in the 60s before it gets reliable.

Yes and no. Even a S* QB with 0 Morale will not play well, especially if their Endurance is low. And, everything runs through the QB. So, beat him up and the whole offense suffers.
