Here's something I just learned...
On special teams, if you leave positions unfilled the game will populate them first before adding in the players you've selected.
E.g. I couldn't figure out why the game kept putting in someone different than the punt returner I wanted. Turns out, the computer was using my punt returner in a different position on punt returns making him unavailable to use as the actual PR.
