How the fuck is this not a first down ?

Same thing happened to me, but there wasn't a first down in debate. My post was about forward progress. I guess they don't give you forward progress in this game. Here is my thread:

but this is a first down though O_o

Looks like the physical 'line' of the first down is the right-hand side of the strip that is colored on the field. The first down line has no depth - but a drawn line to mark first down does - and the game seems to always draw the strip to the left of the marker. Center-point of the star that surrounds the player is the point on player that registers first down/not. It's insanely close on the first one, as evidenced by the fact both the YTG and LOS are overlapped to the point of not seeing the one on the ensuing punt.
