I have 38 SPs and I’m debating how to use them. Leaning toward getting stamina to first cap, getting confidence to 40 to put one in OTK, and then working on SAs. Thoughts?

Stamina to ~58 would take most of the SPs, then I'd work on the other things you said

and train confidence as far up as you can to minimize spending SP there

IMHO, Hold onto all SP's and continue light training for BT's for AEQ. AGL's should take Confidence close to 40 by end of build and you can top it off (to 40) at the very end with very minimal SP spending there. Focus on Stamina and maybe, before last boosts, cap at 1st cap then finish boosting out. Doing it that way will save you even more SP's while still getting benefits of ALG's. This approach will give you the most left over SP's while still reaching your goals.

Should get about 2.2 points of confidence from ALGs with 11 boosts left. So it needs about 5 more points. Red is right that's not a great use of SP, so I would train it more after stamina get's situated.

On stamina, I would guess light training on this side of the stamina 1st cap is likely about 16%, and on the other side about 9%. So I would get stamina to about 90% trained from light trains, then 1st cap it immediately. The trains would be *worth* about 18%, and your ALGs would be twice as much. Not sure I can see the math behind waiting to cap.

Train stamina until it gets to 32 and almost ready to turn it over to 33 on training, Sitting at 30 you prlly get around 17-18 training points per train, once you hit 32 i believe it is 16 (might even be 15) then take it to second cap.
Once you hit second cap training will only be at 8 but you will also get 2 sk pt value if you keep training stamina after you 2nd cap it. I would keep training stamina even though you only get 8 training pts per train, you could go with training confidence but training pts will diminish a little once it rolls over at 32.
Need to get vision up a little more also maybe put some points in it taking it to 55 then hold remainder pts until you hit plateau then figure out what is needed.

Assuming stamina is enhanced x1, looks like the break point is right at 30. If it's enhanced x0, 30 is already past the break point of 2nd cap training being better. Easy enough to test out in the VPB, I just wasn't going to grind it down to that level of min maxing.

Tomato/tomata IMHO. Your way spends more SP's but gets a little gains from ALG's. My way spends less SP's with slightly less gains from ALG's. I mean, at this point your AGL's are as minimal as they get but still valuable. In the end it depends on just how valuable those SP's are to the dot builder.

I guess it helps to know that, by this time, it's likely Stamina that you are light training. His stamina is at 30.46 If, IF, he's put anything to training bonus to Stamina then, at best, he's getting around 15% growth every day (along with 6 BT's). That number will go down with every level gained so by spending his SP's on it NOW, he loses whatever he can get form his last season of training. Me? I'd rather hold on for now and train like a bitch and get as much FREE bonus as I can to the skill before I'm forced to spend any SP"s on it. 40 days at roughly 10% gains per day means he can train Stamina up another 4 points in Stamina gained. That takes him to 34 instead of 30 and still no level-up boosts done so no ALG's lost. Now the cost to raise Stamina is only 14 instead of 18... and he STILL gets the AGL's from final boosts. That's why I say hold 'em for now. He shouldn't boost until end of season to level 73 and will only get 2 more level-up's in between... so at a whopping .21 per ALG gain at this point for his major skills, he's not losing all that much by missing that tiny bit. As long as he caps before he buys his remaining level-ups.
