I know resolute counters spin cycle. Does it counter Shed Block?

Nevermind...just read the text "X% chance opposing blocker is stunned".

That is a hell of an SA. Counters spin cycle and shed block.

Doesn't necessarily counter ALL of the effects, but avoids the stun, which allows the blocker to re-engage, which is pretty huge.

I haven't had great success with Resolute stopping Spin Cycle, either. It's worked a few times, but it doesn't seem to fire very often against Spin Cycle. Not sure why. It's not something you can count on.

Seems to do better against Tunnel Vision/Power and run plays.

resolute wont fire until after a player has completed a spin move. there have been some cases where something other than spin cycle triggers it and its shown as working during spin cycle but the player is still stunned

What else would trigger it besides spin cycle? I've definitely had at least two times where my OT procced Resolute and immediately turned around and caught the spinner.

I can't remember if the DE had stopped spinning off hand, but Resolute helped the OT stop the sack. So I think it works once in a blue moon, but of the 100s of times I've seen spin cycle fire I've only seen Resolute stop it twice.

It just doesn't like to fire for whatever reason. Maybe it's like ThePh33P said, it only fires once the spin has completed. By then the stun has worn off a lot of the times, so Resolute doesn't fire but it's also too late for the OT to do anything about it.

Shed Block should trigger it.

I meant off of a spin cycle. Was referring to ThePh33P's earlier post.

yea it fires immediately after a full spin if the rusher has enough speed they wont be able to catch them

Hence...

Leverage.

Are you saying Leverage + Resolute?

Spin Cycle -> Opposing blocker is stunned. This is prevented by Resolute.

Leverage -> Defender side to side swim movement is reduced by 100%.

Is spinning around a defender considered a swim movement? If so, this combo would seem to work.

Leverage keeps the DL in place better. It fires as you are beginning to lose the interaction. I've done Leverage + Resolute in the past for All-Pass, but with a Balanced OLine build, I just use Leverage.

I use both on an agile line.

How would it trigger against Tunnel Vision? There's no stun to negate.
