How are ALGs Calculated?
Up to level 21, he is given 2 points split amongst all of his major attributes, and 1 point split amongst his minor skills.
At level 22, this decreases to 1.5 points split amongst the major attributes, and 0.75 points split amongst the minor attributes.
At level 30, this decreases to 1.125 points split amongst the major attributes, and 0.5625 points split amongst the minor attributes.
After level 38, this decreases to 0.84375 points split amongst the major attributes, and 0.421875 points split amongst the minor attributes.
These points are added to your players attributes without regard for softcaps. A popular player build strategy is to get attributes above softcaps so that automatic attribute gains are maximized.

Um yes. It's technically after L38, but yeah. L40 is an easier benchmark to remember. You're basically talking about the end of the 3rd season.

It's bad advice to tell everyone to build for the WL or bust model.

WL was always a 1%ers club. It just so happens that 90% of the rest of the 99% have been driven away. So now the 1ers% are 50% of the game.

if you build for WL, whether you make it or not, your dot will perform better and they still preform great at the lower levels

a level 42 dot with 4 majors still has ALG's of 7.77 for their majors - they haven't petered out

3 major dots over 10

You are wrong on so many levels here.

This. Do what you will with your dots, but a dot with a decent build plan will still be a fun dot to watch throughout its career.

I really try hard to do this but the impulse to act at 72 wins out every time !!!!!

The easiest plan is don't put anything into SAs until you don't plan on capping any more attributes. If you are planning on spending any points to cap an attribute, wait on SAs.

For example, if the last part of your build plan is to get conf to 40, then it's OK to put points into SAs while you are training conf up.

If the last part of your plan is to get conf to the first cap, then (even though the gain is small), you should get conf to that first cap before doing your SAs.

that part should say "attributes with ALG's"

otherwise I agree with everything

Thanks for clarifying, that's what I meant - but did not articulate.

Plan your build and know how much SP you need for Special Abilities
The chart below gives the approximate cumulative SP remaining to be had as the build matures.
Have the attributes mostly finished by the level indicated on the chart.

Lvl * SP * Remaining SP
End of Season 5
60 5 127
61 6 121
62 6 115
63 6 109
64 5 104
65 5 99
66 5 94
67 5 89
End of Season 6
68 5 84
69 6 78
70 6 72
71 6 66
72 5 61
73 5 56
74 6 50
20
75 6 24
76 6 18
77 6 12
78 6 6
End of Season 7
79 6 0

No. Your opinion is different. I'm sure the game looks much differently from atop the WL ivory tower. It's bound to give you a different perspective.

I assure you 98% of the non network teams created every season in the rookie leagues will never make it to WL. It's not a realistic goal.

The worst case scenario happens over and over again. Agents read this WL propaganda and get on teams that are all hard core about attributes and SAs. They make the playoffs every season and might even win a trophy along the way. When they hit Naty Pro, (if the team didn't fall apart by then) they crush the sucker teams and get crushed by the real WL teams. They wasted all that time and money for nothing.

It's insanity.

Permanently average.

That's like saying that compound interest doesn't matter to your savings account!

more often this is because of coordinating, not builds

Play the game how you wanna play but can’t complain you aren’t on a good natty pro/WL roster if you didn’t build for WL right from the start.

You should always build for WL who wants to spend time and money just to see their player in leagues with 14 cpu teams lol.
