Thoughts on Entrapment SA for a big legged punter? Understanding that averaging 50yd punts is not common.

"Any punt over 50yds or lands inside the 5yd line without a touchback, results in +10 energy and morale for entire punting team and -15 morale for entire opposing team."

Entrapment is awesome. Especially for teams like 1980s who hardly make it passed mid field and don’t have to worry about a touchback

My punter has 100 Power and he can't get 50 without great SA help. So, he's got gold Entrap and I hardly ever see it fire and when it does I don't really see a big enough hit or boost to morale. Maybe I'll change my mind as he goes through his career but, so far, I'm not impressed.

So would you recommend maxing other SA’s first and then take Entrapment later in career?

Yeah, I went gold in Pinned Deep first then Entrapment thinking that would help it to fire more often. Granted I've only been gold in Entrapment for 9 games but at 90% fire rate I thought I'd get more out of it. We'll see.

How much of this is lack of consistency, punt hands, morale, or energy?

Yeah...if you have 100 power and can’t kick 50 yards, you are lacking some other skills. My fully built punters usually punt past 50 yards.

Punt hands is 48 but Consist is 89, Power 100, he's got a high contract. Whenever he kicks his conditioning is 88 or higher. This last game he had 6 punts between 46-49 yards. The only one that broke 50 was a 61 yarder with the Pinned Deep SA.

In fact, the 61 yard punt didn't even trigger the Entrapment SA even though it's supposed to fire 90% of the time a punt goes over 50 yards. (Unless that's meaning 50 net yards as they returned it 12 yards for a total of 49 net)
