You guys still get confused that what we see is just a "visual representation" of what probably happened in the text code. Whether they got "caught" on each other or not is just what we see doesnt mean its what happened.

So when I saw Tommie Frazier running over those Gator defenders, it really didn't happen?

Thing is, visual representation means something when it comes to player positioning and moving through and around them.
That line was used back in GLB1 because out of bounds lines sometimes didn't match in replay to where they were in the sim and they were too lazy to correct it. The sim didn't magically not have this guy go through another, the representation we get is a mockup of all the actions that get simmed including player position.
Sometimes players faze through eachother and sometimes they don't, sometimes your player avoids a guy on the ground like he's the plague and sometimes he runs right at a guy who is about to stand up, it's not that the replay is just off in every single situation to magically make this happen.
You could make the 'sim isn't an exact representation' argument for the QB throwing the ball 12 yards upfield every time on a screen, but we know for a fact that's not just a visual bug.

It could be just the center dot of the player being represented didnt reach the collision area. Therefor it didnt acknowledge a physical representation of a player being there. or he could just phase through them, idk didnt write the code.
