If someone has a really pass-heavy offense, how helpful would Catch in Stride be for HBs on screens?

In really pass heavy offence screens wont work cuz ur players cant afford points into blocking... go head fake to exploit fact that LB is trying to cover U.

So you're thinking of giving a HB CIS, B4I, and what other SA?

I think it'd be more detrimental than helpful most of the time. The pathing on screens is really wonky and most of the time you want your blockers to get out in front before your RB takes off.

Maybe not just screens, but there's plenty of pass plays with underneath and swing routes that you could select the HB as the primary receiver.

How about if your WRs were pretty much pure possession receivers with lowish sprinting? Haha..
How much of a point investment into blocking are we talking about in order to make it work? Just enough to chip-block the CBs--say, 35 tech, 30 power?

Definitely makes sense. I can see that. You think it'd create enough of a mismatch against a LB if Carry Awareness and Balance were high enough to very quickly change direction or simply turn on the afterburners? On those deep passes, when the HB is basically a checkdown, those other defenders in coverage are often at least 15-20 yards away, so I keep thinking this would have to be a recipe for big plays.
Not only is the coverage usually a little looser on HBs, giving more room for YAC, but think about a hypothetical: while a back with 85ish sprinting, 80 quickness, and 80 FW would usually be coverable by a well-built OLB, it would seem to be a completely different story if that HB immediately shifted to 95 Sprint, 90 Quickness, and 90 Footwork AND passed all Balance checks right after a catch...
Right?

HB as receiver has potential against zone defenses- look for the patterns where another receiver has cleared out the zone the Hb is headed towards
timing is hard to evaluate-
catch in stride might be good- first step is also an option if you're looking for the zoom factor
HB as receiver against man is a *lot* harder. I've tried with two different iterations of Jarvis Street, and couldn't get it to work after the team hit Pro - there is always a defender right next to him, and it is really hard to get the timing down so the QB looks at him at the right moment
similar issues with receiving FB - although the FB does get open against blitz-heavy D's and against some of the lurk plays
I'm talking regular pass plays, the screens aren't working very well right now--

I only tried it on a pickup player, but this was my experience as well. For whatever reason Catch in stride just didn't fire very often.
