Warrior General Games

The last several seasons we've seen several formations get flushed out in terms of missing plays. I'd like Goal Line to be done soon. It should be simple.

First Request: Add the Basic Rushing plays that are missing.

We have
HB Blast (which is Dive Weak),
HB Sting (which is Slam Strong),
HB Off Tackle (which is Off Tackle Strong)
HB Off Tackle Weak

Could we get
HB Dive Strong
HB Slam Weak

This would flush out the Dive-Slam-Off Tackle for both Strong and Weak sides.

Second Request:

Play Action Passes, hopefully at least 3 and as many as 5. All of them Short with 3-7 yard routes.
Some Short passes that aren't Play Actions too.

I'm not advocating for any QB Rollout spam out of GL. Just some basic plays that make the formation a little more viable as a Short yardage formation (which is what it is).

Good stuff.

QB Sneak from goalline should be fine and not spammy.

Play Action and non-playaction should make it a more interesting set of short yardage situations.

I agree, I probably wouldn’t mind like a sweep in both directions just the HB. I think there are plenty of defenses that can handle it and be decent options.

Lmao imagine they add back in GL HB Toss. Not a chance. GL is S* RBs wet dream in this game, one missed tackle and he gone.

Agreed Please no, I can't remember if that was season 2,3 ,4 but the goalline formation fetish was like 40 rookie teams the next season , when it was suddenly nerfed.

Is power rushing still that overpowering? I remember when a fully loaded, power running, gold Power Through S* HB could break 10 tackles in one play.

You use to spam the hell out of that play, if I remember correctly. I basically built my zone, hard hitting defense to try and stop it...by letting your WRs/TEs catch the ball in the seems and knock the hell outta them for a KL.

It's not as OP as it used to be, but still prob the best.

No, hence why I said 1 tackle. The position-control over GL (and the fact that SAs still fire for OOP linemen playing TE) is unlike any aspect of offense in terms of control over the depth chart, and could totally be used (and some would argue abused) to maximize on this, which would inevitably lead some to complain about how they can't stop GL HB Toss.

The problem with trickery style plays in a game like this is that it becomes a fest of circular thinking and doesn't really fit the same bill it does in real football.

People complain when it works too much, or too little, and essentially it becomes balanced entirely based upon the arbitrary place that the meta has these skills at now.

So it becomes just one more thing a defensive coordinator loses control over entirely and hands over to Mr. RNG - or goes off telling his players to stack it up higher and then the new meta is a higher awareness and everyone bitches that PAs don't work anymore.



Like, I really enjoy PA plays in real football - gotta use em strategically for them to work, it relies on tricking players and not on a CPU determining that they are fooled up front automatically and have to pass a check over time to become not fooled.

Sometimes, even idiots guess right. And unlinke in real life - nobody is ever wary of immediately crashing down on a HB handoff because they remember the play action a few plays ago.

Our new team will rely heavily on play action. Gonna have a S* HB, FB, C, T and G. Heavy rushing attack with play action sprinkled in. Gonna see a ton of this, terrorizing your defenses
