PEEWEE GOLD POWER RANKING

1. Berlin Mustaches 6-0-- In my opinion the top 2 teams are a pick'em at this point, so I'll go with the defending champs. With the top rated passing attack and the stingiest defense, Fred Ex and company will be a tough out. It will be interesting to see if this holds up when the east and west start playing each other. Their next game is against the Gamecocks so we will see where we stand at this point in the season.

2. Bulldawg Nation 6-0 -- they could also easily be considered the top team as they have just recently won over the Fighting Gamecocks despite being heavily out leveled. with the number 2 passing attack and a solid running game, combined with the number 3 defensee for points allowed, UGA_XII has this team on track for success. with an upcoming game against The Roman Legion, it will be interesting to see how this plays out. some good games this time and there could be a lot of movement.

3. Fighting Gamecocks 5-1-- after an upset recently, this drops the Gamecocks to the third position. I still think the Gamecocks are the favorite in the west, until they get matched on levels, but the loss proves that anything can happen in peewee gold. With the best rushing performance so far, and the second best defense in points allowed, the Gamecocks could easily remind the rest of the league what the longest standing franchise is capable of. Jkid2 and company could retake the top spot with a win against Berlin tomorrow..this thing is long from over

4. The Roman Legion 5-1-- these teams are all so close. 1 through 4 is the cream on top. The Roman Legion have only lost to Berlin so far, which is the only thing holding them back a little. They can easily climb the ranks with a win tomorrow, over the number 2 ranked Bulldawgs. they have the number 2 rushing squad and the number 4 defense in points allowed. I'm expecting a great game.

5. Corrupt Mayors 4-2 --this is where we start to see a little bit of separation from the top 4. With only middle of the pack rushing and passing performances so far, they do have the number 5 defense in points allowed...giving them the number 5 spot on the list. starting their run against the western teams, this is their time to make a move... a game against the Memelords and then the Gamecocks offer an opportunity to move up the ranks. solid all around team will need to win their next game to continue to hold the 5 spot.

6.philly Meme Lords4-2 --despite having the number 3 rushing attack, this team are the bottom of the barrel. with a barely there passing game and a porous 6th ranked defense in points allowed, this team should be demoted to copper. but since they got rid of copper maybe philly is silver worthy. with a chance to take the 5 spot from the Corrupt Mayors next game... they have work to do

7. and 8. Dotball Mean Machine and Hometown Locals-- incomplete teams face off this week for the seventh and eight spots respectively. It kind of sucks that peewee is reduced to not even having 8 full teams between both conferences. hopefully these teams will build next season.

This is normally the point of the season where I get smoked by The Gamecocks...hopefully its different this year.

Good post. Though to be fair it is far more impressive to lose to Berlin than the Bulldogs. So Rome should be in the 3 slot.

PEEWEE GOLD POWER RANKING

1. Bulldawg Nation 7-0-- The Bulldawgs take over the top spot rising one place and are now peewee golds only remaining undefeated team after knocking off another heavyweight in the Roman Legion. This stared off a good day for the western conference overall. The Bulldawgs had a pretty balanced offensive attack and held the Roman Legion to 111 total yards offensively. With no losses, UGA_XII's team over takes the number one ranking.An overall balanced team with the number 2 passing game and the 3rd best defense by points allowed, expect the Bulldawgs to retain the top spot after the next game as they basically have a bye week. They play the former powerhouse Gold Test Squad... did the squad fold or are they taking a break? hopefully they come back next season

2. Fighting Gamecocks 6-1 -- In a clash of the peewee titans, the Fighting Gamecocks beat the Berlin Mustaches to move up a position and take the second spot. With their only loss to the Bulldawgs, i feel this puts The jkid2 squad right behind them. This was another big win for the western conference. In a contrast of styles, the Gamecocks rushed it 58 times while the Mustaches had 75 passing attempts. Fred Ex did not get blown out as he predicted, it was a close game. The gamecocks have the Corrupt Mayors next. I expect them to hold on to the number 2 spot.

3 Berlin Mustaches 6-1-- The top eastern team sitting in the number 3 spot at this point of the season. I fully expect Berlin to make a strong run right at the end. Under leveled against a well built Gamecocks squad, they hung in right to the end, only losing by a score. I'm not writing off the defending champs, FredEx and company win the games that matter most... in the playoffs.Despite the loss, the mustaches have the number 1 defense by points allowed, the number 1 passing game, and basically a nonexistent running game as we sit here, only rushing it 77 times total on the year. Unless theres an upset above them, Berlin will most likely occupy the 3 spot for another game as they play dotball machine next.

4. The Roman Legion 5-2-- Argonut wanted the 3 spot last time but here we sit again in fourth. The 2 losses have to count for something, even if the two losses are against Berlin and the Bulldawgs. The only team to hold their spot from the last ranking, had a hard time against the undefeated Bulldawg Nation. Theres still plenty of time and games to go though, so the Roman Legion are not to be counted out. After their next 2 games against the western MemeLords and Gamecocks, the Legion will get into an easier part of their schedule with a lot of wins coming their way before a final regular season game against Berlin. Next game against the philly MemeLords will be for the 4th spot...

5. philly MemeLords 5-2 -- In another win for the western conference, philly beat the Corrupt Mayors 56-7. This moves the team up one position. trending in the right direction, they have The Roman Legion next in a battle of the 5 and 2's. despite moving up to the number 2 rushing attack, a weak passing game and a soft defense have this team thinking about playing golf in the offseason.

6.Corrupt Mayors 4-3 -- The corrupt mayors drop a spot after losing one to the Memelords. This is still a playoff team and theres plenty of time to get it going. the next game might be a tough one to get it going , as they face the Gamecocks. Acouple of small tweaks and i can see this team going far.

7. Dotball Mean Machine3-4 -- another win for the western conference,against the Hometown locals

Nice to see no changes in the rankings for week 7 since nothing of consequence happened.

So Gamecocks beat Berlin, Bulldawgs beat Gamecocks, Berlin Beat Bulldawgs...So vicariously Berlin should be number 1!

PEEWEE GOLD POWER RANKING

after studying the fibonacci sequence, and obtaining a deep state of relaxation through meditation it was finally revealed to me.

1. Fighting Gamecocks8-1 -- This was kind of difficult to rank the big 3, but one thing stood out to me. The other 2 teams, that also have 1 loss, did not have any redemption. The Gamecocks only loss came at the paws of the bulldawgs... losing 10 to 28 earlier in the season, but have somewhat recently gotten revenge on the Bulldawgs in the official Peewee tourney. This shows that they can beat anybody at this point in the season. Moving up one spot, the Gamecocks only have 1 more tough game against the Bulldawgs until the playoffs start. The Gamecocks will meet Berlin in the tourney, but thats not for almost 2 weeks.

2. Berlin Mustaches 8-1 -- Despite some lobbying for the top spot, and their only loss on the season being a 7 point defeat to a great team... it was to the Gamecocks. Berlin is the favorite in the east, and possibly the whole league. Its almost a coin flip if they should be ranked number 1 overall. Philly and the Roman Legion are their only remaining notable games in the regular season, it's probable they win out. A championship tourney game against the gamecocks is their next chance for redemption.

3 Bulldawg Nation 8-1-- after losing their only game to the Berlin Mustaches, it seems wrong to move them down 2 spots, but the difference between these teams at this point is still minimal. The Bulldawgs only lost by 3 points in a very close game that was back and forth throughout the whole game. I felt like that game could of gone either way, but it went to Berlin. The Dawgs will get one more regular season crack at the Gamecocks, which could prove to be a huge game to decide the western conference.

4. philly MemeLords 7-2-- after a recent win against The Roman Legion, the MemeLords will take the 4th spot, but remain 3rd in the west. Don't expect this to last as they still have games against the entire big 3...it was fun while it lasted

5. the Roman Legion 5-4 -- despite some recent losses, I don't think it will be long before The Legion moves up the ranks. 6 winnable games coming up before the season ender against Berlin.

6.Corrupt Mayors 5-4 -- The Corrupt Mayors have caught the Legion in the standings but lost a close one to the Legion earlier in the season 21 to 28 keeping them in sixth. Now is the time to start trying to make a move as the road gets difficult ahead with games against the Bulldawgs, the Legion and the Mustaches...

7. Dotball Mean Machine4-5 -- most rushing yards despite having nine players

8. Hometown locals3-6 -- hopefully developing to be competitive net season
