If you add another special ability a lot of them are geared toward specific positions in the description. Does that mean it won't help for my player if its not his position in the description or does any special ability that is offered work? Thanks for the info

Generally any SA will work regardless of the position in the description but if you have an example I could tell you for sure

They're generally interchangeable, if you meet the criteria. Like you could take O-line General on an OT, but it wouldn't activate until you were listed at Center on the depth chart.

Something generic like Blitz, will fire for anyone who is listed as a blitzer in the play design.

There's a lot of dumb combinations though. So buyer beware.

I was looking for blitz for my pass rushing DE and relentless pursuit

I realized i have shed block my shut corner cb. Im not sure if i should switch that now. Not even sure why i put that one on there haha. Also looking to maybe add diving tackle to CB

Blitz and Relentless Pursuit will work on DE

Shed Block works on a CB but not sure it’s that handy on a cover corner. Diving Tackle is always a good one.

i'm not claiming to be an expert builder, but i like % pieces over the SA's for coverage cb's.
