I've never totally understood how CPU scale. And lately, I've seen tons of full human dots get beaten by CPU filled teams. so here are the scenarios:

1) 2 complete teams, one of 34s and one of 40s, one in each conference. The rest of the teams are 100% CPU players. Do the CPU teams scale by conference or league, or opponent? I used to think that it was based on the human dots within the entire league, but the number of full human teams getting eliminated in survivor contests makes me think that it's by opponent.

2) Same 2 teams, but the team with the 40s is only 2/3 filled with human dots and the rest are CPU dots. How will the CPU dots on the human team be scaled? And is the scaling done by position, or accumulative dots?

I know that this has been asked many times, but I couldn't find the answers in a quick looksy through the forums.

1. opponent

2. scaled to own team i believe but human dots will take a hit if that many cpus are on the team

If you have more than 10 CPU on the team you take a hit. But if you have few of them, they “level” up (you can see it if you scout the team to see their lvl).

And the penalty to CPU dots that Kenshinzen mentioned only happens if it is a human-owned team, remember. So if a CPU owned team has 55 CPU dots on it, and plays a human team with 20 CPU dots on it, the ones on the human-owned team will be penalized and the entire CPU owned team will not be penalized.

The other thing to keep in mind for CPU owned teams, is that the offense and defense Ai is still in place from whoever had the team last. The Ai doesn't get cleared until the team is purchased.

If the last owner had a killer Ai, it's stuck there.

Yeah, I had been warned not to have more than 9 CPUs if I wanted to be competitive.Originally posted by ProfessionalKop

Whoa, I'd never heard that the human dots will get penalized.

Knew this. It's come in handy when picking CPU vs CPU in survivor.

I didn't see that part the first time, I'm pretty sure it's not the case. I found a thread on page 2 of this forum where folks had been discussing this, here was the quote someone found there:

- Human owned teams with more than 10 CPUs now have a penalty to CPU player strength for each CPU over 10 (up to 25% penalty)

Here's the post that I'm quoting from:
