Is Run Block Power and Pass Block Power going to prevent my player from getting Reverse Caked?

The description doesn't say anything about Pancakes/Reserve Pancakes it only says I can push someone further.

Does the description need to be rewritten?

Do Run Block Power and Pass Block Power factor into whether my blocker gets reverse caked.? The description doesn't say that it does

Yes.

Hence the "as well" in the first reply.

There's a Tech roll

There's a Power roll

There's a Balance check

Toughness is probably a modifier to some or all of them.

In short, it's a combo of things.

Interesting--then shouldn't the description say something to the effect of "this will help prevent from being reverse caked"

reaching 0 balance is what gets you caked. Balance is a bar stat like stamina or morale but it's not shown like those two are. If it reaches 0, you go down.

Losing blocking interactions and being pushed around makes you lose balance.

But, you can also just stack one or the other to 'win' and not lose balance enough to fall - some people hardly invest in blocking power at all and for good reason, tech is just better.

So... it's hard to say.

Does Run Block Power and Pass Block Power help prevent your player from being Reverse Caked? If yes, then the description should read as such. It's no wonder new players on here struggle then quit.

But it’s a combination of things like Raid posted.

Sure.... no one is saying it is the only thing that contributes to preventing reverse pancakes

but if it does play a part - (key phrase) then it should list it in the description.

If you look at toughness for example. The description lists out the interactions it is useful in and what the skill contributes towards.

It would certainty help for new players to know this information per skill.

If you listed every single interaction that every skill was involved in in the quick tips, it'd be a massacre of info. There should be extremely easy help guids linked to from the player page, and to some extent there kind of is - just needs some updating, reworking. Maybe I could try and start a forum post to get all the effects of the skills down that can be linked there - some sort of user collaboration to get down for new users the gist of what we know skills to do (as part of it is kind of a secret to some extent to make the game interesting to us still)

If we just added in things for the rollover text, balance would be insane.

"Helps to stay upright in broken tackles, maintains good QB posture when moving in the pocket, ensures higher quality kick checks, helps prevent being reverse pancaked, helps provide leverage to get more pancakes, helps blocking rolls, helps in acceleration, helps stay upright and be in a good position when fighting over the ball before a catch, helps mobility and preventing stumbles in general - but especially in hard cuts and during backpedaling/sidestpping etc."

And that's not all it does.
