Hey Casino, I played for you guys for a few seasons. I see whats going on. It's hard to maintain a team when your best players are getting pulled to Kansas Khaos. You guys played us really tough the 1st half, then it was just attrition.

Sorry I missed a game 5 GOTW. Ransom/Rhinos and Khaos/Werthers were both good ones.

Power Rankings update through week 5.

#1 Goonies (5-0)

Goonies are undefeated and the defense looks better than ever. Two huge early wins over the Ransom and Rhinos jump them into the top spot after 5 games. They appear to be the obvious favorite in zeta conference early.

#2 Khaos (5-0)

No real fault of the Khaos they have played a fairly soft schedule and haven't played a tourney game. Khaos had a rough first half against werthers, but stayed undefeated. Goonies next and a tourney game vs the rhino will give the khaos a chance to prove they are #1.

#3 Rhino (4-1)

Not a good opening game to lose handily to the goonies but Rhino made a huge statement win at RCR on free nacho day. They appear to be a solid third best team in the league. Tourney game vs Khaos could give them a chance to move up.

#4 Ransom (3-2)

Ransom have 2 close losses to a couple of the best teams in the league. Clearly a top 4 team and a serious threat to win the tourney and league. Ransom wont lose for the next couple of weeks and should have a great record heading into the last third of the season.

#5 Werthers (4-1)

Werthers beats everyone they should be easily and has a loss vs the khaos. Obviously better than the bottom group, but this team is yet to prove they belong in the top 5.

#6 Buttons (3-2)

Buttons are what they are...they lose bad to the top teams...and they blow out all the bad teams. Ransom, Rhino, and Goonies up in 3 of the next 5 games is a stretch they can prove themselves by winning one or more of the three.

Goonies (5-0) vs Khaos (5-0)

Pretty clearly the top two teams in the league square off this week. Since they are in different conferences this will be the only regular season meeting. Last season this was the championship matchup. Goonies are the most dominant defense and rushing attack in the league. Goonies came in this week #1 in the power rankings backed by big wins over the ransom and rhino. Picking up this win would put the goonies squarely as the top team this season. Khaos looked rough against werthers in the first half but is undeated and looking to cruise to through the weaker of the two conferences. Both teams force alot of turnovers and have potential for explosive special teams plays.

Prediction Goonies 31 Khaos 23

In a revenge game for the Goonies they take the win after losing the championship game last season.

Khaos 36 Goonies 10. First game I've been way off. I predicted the game would come down to special teams and turnovers. Special teams was even and Goonies won the turnover battle. Khaos looked dominant all game on both sides of the ball. Racking up over 400 yards and holding the goonies under 200.

This was more of a methodical win as opposed to a few huge plans swinging the game.
