Get to the Pro Tier, lol...
...outside of that, you need High Tech to win rolls and balance to keep up on your feet.

High tech, good balance, and at least decent power

No doubt. OLine are at a huge disadvantage compared to DLinemen. It is not even close! DLinemen can rack up 300+ rcakes with being caked maybe 15-20 times while the best OLinemen are usually somewhere around 50/50 on cakes to rcaked ratios at the end of seasons.

OT's are the exception, but interior lineman its all about building defense IMO (as an offensive line) Ots can rack up the pancakes however you're gonna sacrifice some Pass Pro.

The high power skill is going to get you in trouble - high power on run blocking pushes the defender away from you and creates the separation he needs to grab hold of the RB as he tries to squeeze by, on passing it actually throws YOU out of the lane of protection - even if you hit a guy who is all speed YOU get bounced like a toy backward and out of position to make a follow-up block as he screams directly at the QB.
I love power, but not on o-linemen. Not 'high' anyhow. Moderate is good.

I mean, if it's a 1 to 1 ratio then OL are winning handedly. If neither gets caked and they just sit there in a blocking interaction forever, the OL has effectively done his job and neutralized a defender. OL is basically winning all the way up until they get knocked down.

I've seen better results with Get Low, Strong Arm than Pancake Chef and Leverage. Also Resolute and Footwork skill from my experience aren't effective enough.

True, just saying that if you end up with power getting actually higher than tech you end up causing more headaches for yourself.

True. Hence the OL skill cost change some 30 seasons ago and we still have HBs averaging 6+ yards per carry.

I don't care about pancakes and rev pancakes as long as my linemen stay on their feet and block.
