I'm trying to offer a low contract to this player:

A low contract is worth $2,423,750 and the remaining salary cap for my team is $2,506,000. The player has been part of the team since rookie.

Every time we try to offer a contract, we get: "This player would put the selected team over their salary cap", which is patently untrue.

Any help appreciated!

Game is a little wonky with signing new players in this situation. You have to be able to afford the player at the medium salary cost to even sign him low coming on to the team. You will essentially have to drop somebodies contract cost down to be able to sign him then bring the contract back up to where it was. (Easier when you have a high contract to bring down since you don't take the chem hit).
