What's up everyone,

Used to play this all the time and was thinking about getting back into it. How is the activity level? Should I do classic or the new version?

It's not as active as it used to be, but it's still going. I tried GLB2 for a bit but I like this version better. There are still a good number of vets playing.

With all the free dots, it’s really a gaming bang for the buck. Would like to see it changed to a team owning game where the dots come with a team though.

Activity level is lower than it used to be, but still high enough to keep things interesting. I came back to GLB for Season 69, took a team all the way up to Decline, and just reset for another go, so I'm not done yet.

Fwiw... The game is probably harder than it's ever been. Once you get past prep, the only teams left are trained professionals.

WL is probably a bit easier to get into, even KP and Novis did it

Damn, I though I remembered Novus making WL way back. Before the season glb broke.

I did make it to WL once with the Palookas waaaaaaaaaaaay back in the 20s or 30s or something. Got my ass handed to me.

I was also the OC for a Laos squad that got to WL once, right around the same time period. Got my ass handed to me that time too.

The Palookas also won NA Pro gold in Season 80 and earned a ticket to WL, but that was at the end of our Plateau seasons, and I didn't feel like flailing away in WL with Declining dots, so we reset for S81 instead.

Only WL success I ever had was as the Assistant OC for Asau when they won WL gold back in the 20s. I did scouting work for the OC and helped him pick plays, so I consider that trophy to be legitimately earned, not an LOLGM trophy. But they probably could've won gold without me... I just made it easier for them.

This game needs more agents period, so c'mon. Still fun if you find a good group.

I came back in S79 (after leaving in the mid 50s) Game is fun.

I joined half way through season 1 but haven’t played for years, I’m tempted to jump back in!
