A confederate flag facemask with 'Trump 2020' emblazoned across the front. If that's what they want, that's what they'll get.

That is a nice flag, albeit looking a bit cuba-esque. I prefer the diagonal cross flag. Looks more aggressive.

I wear one of those things only when I have to and that does not mean in
my own car or outside in the fresh air. That means only when I'm going in
somewhere that has a sign on the door requiring one.

We have our Casinos and Bars open here in Reno now. They do require masks
in there tho. And most of the restaurants are back open, with every other table
seating inside. You have to wear a mask to get in but once seated...can take them
off.

I find this whole "mask" thing very disturbing. The type of masks most of us wear
are NOT STOPPING ANYTHING from getting into your lungs except the right amount
of oxygen !!!!! If those things stopped COVID19 from getting to you then answer me
this...... Why couldn't the families of the people that were almost dead or could not
be saved kept out ?? Think on that one.

Hottie... the masks aren't to protect YOU from the virus... they're to protect others in case YOU have the virus, luv.
TBPH, if you were wearing your mask and you ran into someone not wearing theirs... and they have the virus... there's a pretty good chance you'll get the virus from them. Reverse the situation... you no mask, they have mask and virus, then you stand a real good chance of not catching the virus.
What makes this the way it is is the fact you can HAVE the virus and not know it. Not everyone presents symptoms... not everyone gets sick from it. But everyone that has it can (and does) spread it. The longer this damn thing has hung around the more we've learned and one thing we know for sure is, no mask + close contact with others = Virus spread. How bad the spread is simply determined by how many people without masks, having the virus, hang around closely with others (with or without masks). All these 'parties' you see with nobody masking has almost always led to Covid spread and further actions that get taken... which really shouldn't have to be taken if people would just do like you (and me and a few others) and just be smart about it. I still shake my head with I see people riding their lawn mowers... outside... with nobody around for miles... wearing masks. Or driving their cars down the road... windows up and AC going (like everyone else on the road)... nobody else in the car... and they're wearing masks. Like you I keep mine handy. Put it on when I'm around others. Take it off when I'm by myself. Wash the hands and all that jazz.
Mom just turned 94... has asthma... battles high blood pressure... wonky thyroid... borderline diabetic... the usual old age issues... and I'm her care giver so you KNOW I'm leery of anyone else out there... especially the whackos that think it's their right to endanger other people with stupidity. We shouldn't have to have laws/rules/orders to make people do the smart thing... but then there's those that simply refuse to help beat this bastard down and out so we can get back to normal.
So don't be scared of others wearing masks... be scared of the one's that don't.

One, to prohibit possible spread. Two, because the actual PPE that would’ve “possibly” kept visitors “maybe” saf-er was badly needed for first line medical workers that were having to wear garbage bags due to the miserable mishandling of resources. Think gowns, gloves, masks, face shields, and still not near 100% protection. Keeping out visitors was optional, Drs./nurses risking life was not. Supplying pos. pressure hazmat suits for visitors was also not feasible. The medical community didn’t disallow visitors out of meanness, it was an unknown spreading issue, think on that one. Plus, early on, they had to figure out transmissibility of a novel virus.

Also, there is a huge difference between masks and filters/resps.. Unvented masks (like cloth or med.) mainly block “your” particles and slow exhalation momentum. Filter/respirators like N95 rated will not “filter” viruses, they’re great for dust. Higher rating-more restrictive. Fit is also crucial. EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON. who has given me grief about wearing masks has told me the same damn thing: "Wearing some stupid cloth mask isn't going to keep me from getting the virus!" And they're right. But that's not why you wear a mask.

Ask yourself this question, Hottie: do you have Covid-19 right now? Unless you've been tested in the past day or two, you have no way of knowing. You could be one of the people who gets the virus but never shows any outward symptoms. Or you could be one of the people who gets the virus but doesn't show any symptoms for the first few days. But if you have the virus in your system, you're contagious and could easily have no idea -- and you can spread it to other people through the tiny almost-invisible spray that comes from your nose and mouth every time you exhale. That spray can spread anywhere from 6 to 10 feet out from your face...

...unless you're wearing a mask.

Wear a mask, and that 6-to-10-foot "spray radius" gets reduced to 6 inches. And THAT is why you wear a mask. It really doesn't do much to protect you... but if you're an asymptomatic carrier and have no idea you are one, it does A LOT to protect everyone around you.

(And by the way, being "asymptomatic" doesn't mean you're not sick. There have been quite a few cases of people who tested positive, never showed outward symptoms, and were later found to have suffered heart damage from the virus. This thing is not "just the flu." Just wanted to mention that too.)

So, PLEASE keep wearing your mask. Put whatever you want on it. I ENCOURAGE people to wear masks with "Trump 2020" or "Fuck Fauci" or confederate flags or swastikas or pentagrams or the Nickelback logo or whatever. Whatever makes you feel comfortable with wearing a mask... and quite frankly, if some anti-masker sees you wearing a Trump 2020 mask, they might just realize, "Oh, hey, he's a Trump guy too and he's wearing a mask... maybe it's okay if I wear one also."
