I think y'all greatly overestimate the care level and talent of the NFL.

This...

Males don't reach their physical peak until their thirties, the coaching depth and resources are unmatched, much less the fact that only the absolute best alpha males on the planet play in the NFL - and even some of them fail...

Correct

I'm shocked this is even a debate. No college team has a prayer against any professional team. Maybe a team of college all stars with a month of training could possibly hold their own but even that's unlikely.

Since you brought up an "all-star" team, I think what some people forget is that even some of the best college players can't hang in the NFL. There are numerous busts in every draft, every year.

Yeah. If you took the best draft class ever from any college team (Bama, LSU, Florida, Ohio St, ect, ect, ect...) it still end up being a very small percentage of players from that team that get drafted... maybe a handful of others that make it as walk-on's... and out of all those not even half of them will still be in the NFL in a season or two. That means any college team would have, at best, a roster of 10 or so players that >might< be able to match up against a 55 man roster filled with the cream of the college crop... battle tested for several seasons beyond what any college player could be... and with many more years of experience under their belts.

Add to all that one last little thing that I think seals the deal. When I played (way back when) in HS we would have a scrimmage every season against the Jr. High team. I can remember still the attitude we had for that simple scrimmage... there was no f*ckin way we were gonna lose to them.. to a bunch'a wet behind the ears kids who were not in our class and we wanted to SHOW them they were not in our class... yet. I would expect nothing different in a game between NFL and college players.

Yep, not a snowball's chance in hell.

You'd have a MUCH easier time convincing me a top college basketball team could beat a bottom-feeder NBA team 1 out of 10 times. At least then we're not talking about the simply physical domination that would take place in a college vs. NFL football game.

Alabama had 10 players drafted and I think it was 6 signed as walkons or whatever they are called.. Not all the starters were eligible to be drafted. What i'm getting at is the percentage of players taken by the NFL as a percentage of players eligible was higher than you might think.

Ok, I'll even give you double that number... and I'll still take the Veterans over the Rookies every time.

Actually root for the MSU Bears (my school... formerly SMS) but if I gotta root for the (other) big school then it's Mizzou... unless you're talking Baseball or Basketball. Then it's Bears all the way. Gonna be very interesting next season (I'm throwing all Covid seasons into the trash) when Patrino's into his first real full season.
