Build a QB once meant to pull the ball down and run. Best idea I can give you is go low vision, try to make the QB fail vision checks and tuck it. I found my guy did so most often in the 5WR formation. I think if I was to build a team with the concept it would work, but can't guarantee because my boy played on some really rank teams.

I give advice to ppl i know over PM, to ppl who are cool and/or to new players because it helps everyone when new players understand and enjoy the game and stay. However I'm not here to argue at other ppl not to do it wrong, especially when the general reaction is pure hate but then when our tactics are copied, where is the thanks? Its really not my job to tell you what you are doing wrong. If i want to help someone, that's my prerogative.

Did you try the whole 'single read' custom progressions thing, and did that increase the amount of runs? I feel like it does, but we don't do that kind of thing usually so I'm not sure. I didn't think it worth mentioning before since the OP can't change that. IMO though, it is far more effective to use the designed runs mainly and then an occasional short pass and if the guy is wide open and he hits them great if he makes a good run then great but in the end the dot makes the decision because he's a scrambling QB and that is what they do, right? So thinking that it seems like vision might help but I can't say- I help to run the offense but I never made the QBs. In any event, the scrambler of this type needs agility, speed, a lot of strength, carrying too, then if you want a bit of passing too, i can't see how vision is gonna be very high. Like low 80's would probably be the best you can get with all that. Maybe that is a good median for a scrambler? A Michael Vic type

IN the 5wr I set him on favor long, then did the check downs to just two WR locking him out of the long options. Worked more often with some plays than others. I think the biggest issue was he sucked as a HB. I'd never build a rqb before. The only down fall I could see with his vision was he seemed to have a higher percentage of interceptions where another qb might of just had an incomplete.

IMHO there are 2 ways to go about it.
#1, build your RQB using the Deep Passer arch and build him as a PHB in style. Strength being a major for both approaches, Speed replacing passing somewhat. You need to finish with both enough speed to not be so slow that you cannot gain yards... and enough passing to allow for short (and even occasional medium) passing. If you can hit 90 (natural) speed then AEQ/EQ can cover the rest. 50 in throwing is plenty for the build. Do almost all your runs up the middle to go with scrambling settings as well and don't worry if he passes instead of scrambling. If you run him enough, defenses must account for his rushing and that will leave some passing open to him.

#2, build a speed style using the RQB arch and know you'll be going with even less passing that the Qb mentioned above. You'll need to keep your passes short as much as possible but keep the very occasional medium pass in mind. Gotta keep defenses honest. QB runs outside and up the middle will keep DE's playing the flat a lot... so no screen passes. Again, scramble often but you'll find RQB builds using the scrambler arch tend to scramble more than the QB mentioned above. I suspect it's something Bort and company coded into the QB DNA of the game. Scrambler arches tend to run more frequently... but also tend to throw while on the run MUCH more frequently so be sure you cover that with the SA.

there are other ways and other builds that will work just fine - even better passers which makes it even tougher on the defense

That could well be, red. The two QB styles I posted are the one's (and the approach) that I've had the most success with so far.

Set the entire O line to Run block emphasis and give them lousy agility - QB will be running, trust me...
