Okay, I don't actually have any dots in Natty Pro this season, but I'm playing League Survivor this season, and today while doing my Survivor picks, I noticed something funny in the South Atlantic Pro MVP standings:

A kicker is in 2nd place for the OFFENSIVE MVP list. Not Kicker/Punter MVP. Not Special Teams MVP. OFFENSIVE MVP.

https://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/league.pl?league_id=15

I had to find out why. Turns out Kicky McFace, in just 2 games, has already made 15 FGs and 24 XPs, including 10 FGs in his Oakland team's... um... weird-as-fuck 44-21 win over Tokyo. Turns out Oakland's offense is pretty fucking terrible this season, but their defense and special teams kept making big plays against the over-matched Tokyo Dragons, giving Oakland a short field over and over and over again. And pretty much every time, Oakland's offense fucked around for 3 downs and then called out the kicker for a short FG, which he made. 10 times. And that's how Oakland only gained 138 yards on 84 plays, averaging 1.64 yards per play, punted 10 times, and still managed to score 44 points.

I'd say "Enjoy!" except I can't really point you to a game like that and say "Enjoy!", so... I dunno.

Kicky McFace is still 5th for Offensive MVP, BTW.

I live for the moment, someday... before they turn the lights off here... when the Palooka's throw a pass.

We tried that in a private scrim 2 seasons ago.

Did you know screen passes can be intercepted? I do now!

GG UND - was a really good fight back n forth until the double fumble lost in the 4th kind of doomed things for ya.

I've hit the quadfecta. I've had a LB, DE, CB, and Safety all pick off a screen pass. I even had a DT pick off a dump off pass to a Scat FB who was trying to worm his way through the line but the QB panicked and tried to dump the pass off to him (shovel pass maybe???) and the DT ended up with the ball somehow. Weird ass replay... am sorry I didn't save it.

DE on MM has a pair. Neither on screens, just "in the QBs face jump picks", while beating up on awful gutted teams:

I had a NT I build to deflect passes that averaged 3 INT a season at pro. Oddly, they came against better teams. Were downfield attempts though, not dumps. Always wanted to build an entire D line for blocking passes, against top teams it's better chance than sacks.

Might sound crazy but that's why I don't set my QB's to max Bullet. -80 works fine and gives enough loft to help stop (some of) those deflects.
