Pissed. Frustrated. What in the f*ck is the use of making an AI when the f*ckin GLB AI does whatever the hell it wants to anyway?
To explain. When making a Preset you can choose ta Preset Offensive Style... OR you can (supposedly) make one of your own by giving %'s to basic formations. I prefer the latter myself but I'm starting to wonder if it's worth it when, out of 10 possible formation playbooks [not using the Basic Playbook] (also noticed there is no 5-wide shotgun either... wtf?), you choose 5 of them... which leaves 4 formations that you shouldn't even SEE run on the field in a game. The % of those other 'formations' is set to ZERO. My definition of ZERO must differ from GLB's definition. And, before you ask, no... it is NOT a 3rd down distance issue. It ran a NON SELECTED FORMATION on 1st f*ckin down. NO rhyme... NO reason... just wanted to "do it's own thing". If this was a 1st time only thing I wouldn't bother to post... but since this has happened ALL DAMN SEASON LONG, no matter WHAT I change or HOW I set it up... then, yeah... here's the pissed post.
The ONLY thing I can POSSIBLY even BEGIN to think MIGHT cause this is the 'Auto Adjust' setting... which I have set to pretty low. Do you have to turn the f*cker off??? That's stupid as hell.

If anyone else has had this happen to them... is it a BUG?... of if anyone has a "trick" I haven't figured out yet on this, I would appreciate at least some kind of feedback/explanation/solution [if any]. Thanks in advance. I gotta go grab some antacids.

Even when I turn the auto adjust off it doesn't follow my settings most of the time.

Very frustrating

People still use basic tactics I casual? Cant remember the last time I ran a basic AI in a game that mattered.

So you only use Preset Offenses? (Like Wildcat?) You don't adjust any of the %'s?

Well thanks to rocdog I found out that you can only use custom slots and actually utilize HBs and FBs as their archetype calls for in the presets. I don't see the point in using the %'s unless you have all the same archetypes in the skill positions.

Well, at least it's not just me that has seen this. Good thing is it doesn't happen very often... usually follows my settings mostly. Sorry for the blast of angst. Maybe I should give a warning label on my angry posts.

Sunder's got me thinkin though. I mean I tried the preset offenses when I first started but got my ass handed to me constantly and nothing ever seemed to work right at all. Dots OOP because the play called for a position I hadn't filled.. like QB1... (trust me... you really lose it when you see the EHB attempt to throw a pass to a wide open TE... and complete it to the wide open LB 5 yards away ) watching a QB toss a screen pass on 3rd and 10.... I mean, I know some things you can't make Casual do but krikey... you gotta have SOME input on the game, don't you? Anyways. This season is almost over. I might try Sunders' idea next season... against CPU teams... that I know I can beat... I hope.

Ah ha! So that explains why things didn't go according to plan with both my depth chart work and my preset offense attempts. Well... one mystery solved. Thanks Fuzzy.

Rarely the wilcat, but use Big, Outside, power, run first, pass first, balanced, etc. It's the only way to use the archetypes correctly.

I don't think our archetypes would fit any of those... at least not all together. I suspect that, if you BUILD dots for doing that then it likely works real well. But when you have a team filled with FA's you kinda gotta make the AI fit the dots instead. At least that's our issue as it is for now. Thanks Sunder. At least I'll have some thing to try differently next season.

I didn't think enough people created combo type dots to have that many to recruit. Part of the reason I started using presets in Casual was because when I was recruiting, I could only find specialists
