In some ways, yeah. However, all the current build guides likely won't work... at least not exactly as they're written. The base ideals in them should remain solid. The one I've been working on is toast now. Scrapheap. Never to see the light of day. Back to the drawing board... just as soon as we have a new picture.

I'm preeeeeeeeeeety sure TJ was kidding.
If he's NOT kidding... well... not sure how I feel about that yet.
Is today the first of April? Why does that rain on my leg feel so warm? Quarter Mil for TV, eh? That’s a lot of flex. Another curious clue, says posted by DD. Posted where? I smell a prankster. 🦨

Of course, for some stupid reason, GLB defaults to Flash replays, so a LOT of people are going to log on one day in a few months and think GLB is finally dead because "replays stopped working," so we're going to need to spend the next few months educating people before Flash officially dies.

Warrior General has been investigating ways to increase revenue. We intend to do this with a 4 pronged approach.
#1 We're cutting the off season down to 3 days. All of the usual end of season happenings, like stadium construction will be done on Day 43. We're also cutting the preseason down to 4 days (-3 through 0).
#2 In order to increase the perceived speed of a dot's life, and thereby reigniting interest in the game, dots will now receive 500 XP for every game of their career, and always gain 50 daily XP, as opposed to the graduated scale we have now. In effect, 10,000 XP per season which will always be 10 levels of progression plus boosts.
#3 We're cutting the number of boosts required to max out a dot down to 28, but increasing the boosts available per season to 4. This will have the net affects of making dots slightly cheaper and also shortening a dot's career, in terms of number of real days required to max out a dot. The leagues will be condensed based on the following schedule, mimicking a player's career starting at the college level.
1-5 off season boosts for new dots (4) 5 -19 High School (8) 19-33 Freshman (12) 33-47 Sophomore (16) 47-61 Junior (20) 61-75 Senior (24) 75-79 is achieved with 4 End Build Boosts, with make up boosts available for those that may have missed some scheduled boosts. (28) Pro leagues would be exclusive to L79 plateau age dots.
World League will be played as a triple elimination tournament for the top 16 teams of the previous season. Three strikes and you're eliminated.
#4 In accordance with the accelerated growth of the player, we will be cutting the plateau period to 4 seasons instead of 5.
The life cycle of a dot is currently 696 days (58x12) before decline. This plan will shorten that to 423 days (47x9). By reducing the dot life cycle by roughly 40 percent, we will be increasing the rate at which agents purchase flex, and therefore increase revenue.
We're still hammering out the details such as Training Points, and Veteran Experience but rest assured they will be scaled up commensurate with the increased build speed. We might just double everything to keep it as simple as possible.
Bort has also agreed to a television advertising campaign, which should cost in the neighborhood of a quarter of a million dollars, and we are most likely going to be holding fund raising flex sales to support that purchase. Details are still being worked out.
Corndog is currently hard at work testing potential sim tweaks, new plays, and some miscellaneous website changes like converting replays to a language that isn't obsolete.
====
Integrating a player "save" feature that will allow players to be instantly "cloned" at any time. The agent would pay the standard cost of a player including CEQ, and associated boosts. Free player slots would not be eligible for cloning.
Maximum roster sizes will be reduced. We're hammering out the details but expect in the neighborhood of 35 dots per team. We'll be adjusting Stamina, Morale, and Out of Position Penalties. Think along the lines of HBs at WR5 or FSs at CB3 or all o-linemen and d-linemen for that matter.
We're also kicking around the idea of an overhaul of the Archetypes. Essentially giving them all the same numeric value for majors and minors. That would require sim adjustments, so we're not entirely sure we want to open that can of worms.
Tactics Sliders will also get a look. Bullet vs Loft may go away in leu of pass velocity being much more tied to Strength and Loft more tied to Vision/ Confidence. We feel that Power vs Elusive could use some work. Maybe get rid of them entirely and let the SAs work for themselves.
On a similar note, we're seriously considering the whole Break Tackle vs Fake mechanic. Basically Fakes would be for players without the ball and make that obvious with the word Fake in the description. Everything else would be a tackle breaker, just applied as a bonus to the break tackle or a penalty to the make tackle roll to denote Strength vs Agility based respectively.
We may also take sniper shots at very specific SAs and VAs. Like change Big Hit to Big Strip or something to further eliminate redundant SAs and VAs.
