It would be nice to have the option to choose wrap up tackling over a power hit or a dive for every player only so special teams can be more versitile with positions and for INTs/ffum

Example: https://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/714764/930383

Had their been a setting to run through and tackle the ball carrier over diving for them, could have saved a TD

Edit: Osiris had the idea of making it a tactic for the defence coach when making defense strategies. Max Diving Range?

Yeah, no. Offensive players don't get tackling skills, and defensive players don't get Receiving Grip.

If the proper players had these settings I would want it to be a coach’s setting.

You are not being constructive towards the point of this thread or forum. Suggestions are ment to be discussed out. Your just saying no. Any one coming from GLB Classic will be looking for this setting because EVERY PLAYER has the ability to tackle on a football field

Thats not a shabby idea, let the coach have that specific setting but allow it to effect every player on the field? Or have it like a defense playbook/strategy tactic almost like a max feild goal range but instead a max diving range?

They technically do, they're just base value depending on ht/wt + possibility of using natural to boost them.

Diving tactic won't ever happen though, just the reality of it

I’m not for or against this. I just think there are more pressing issues to fix and features to develop. It is a bit annoying when a guy is obviously going to catch up but dives early instead.

Yes, to both there. Way more pressing issues, i.e drops and kicking mechanics, but to have this on, not even the back burner but thawing out in the fridge lol just a simple thought

Maybe they could put a drop down box on the roster page after each player. A general tactic on the tactic page is not something I would want.

What is it you want? Run through/dive or wrap up/power tackle?

Drops are fixable, just give young players time. Kicking is terrible, not sure how to fix that.

End of game tactics and the knocked loose bug are two issues that have been around forever and still haven’t been addressed.

totally agree on end of gm tacts an kicking for sure have tried so many different kicker builds with not much of a noticeable difference, but would think end of gm tacts would be an easy fix but guess not since its been an issue for so long

In GLB1 you had complete control over offensive tactics. You could customize your end of half tactics to do whatever you wanted. Here you can’t, they tried to make universal tactics and they are a bit off.

I want the run through/dive tactic. The wrap up power tactic is kinda already there in a way with how they made the builds for players with tackle tech grip power and strip. You build your player how you want him to tackle is kinda how i viewed the tackling tactic.

I look at this play as the OL doing everything he can to try to bring the carrier down. I don't see the C being able to "run through" to tackle the ballcarrier because he's slower and obviously lacks the pursuit to take the correct angle and the tackle tech to engage properly. The dive is a last ditch effort because he wasn't ever going to tackle the LB, we see it all the time irl on int returns.

With that said, what are you actually suggesting? An option for ALL players to have a tackle setting? I'm not against something like this, I've had dumb dives happen in games of mine... cc:

https://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/720615/1140861

But I accept them as last-ditch efforts where the players know that they aren't going to catch up and as a result of lack of tackle tech.

If you're just focused on solving the "problem" of the play you linked (which again I honestly see no problem), then giving offensive players pursuit options would be a better way to solve it, because I don't think that C is making the tackle with tackle settings.

Players only attempt diving tackles when there's no intercept point available.
