I know it is kind of early but I'm looking to add some players come S47. So if you find yourself part of a sophomore team this season that ends resetting next season and need a new home PM me. I would need to see your build to make sure it fits the team. Specifically but not exclusively I'm looking for a quality WR1, WR3, SS, FS and MLB so I can retire a few of my own players. I would love to add a Star WR and could shuffle around contracts to create the cap space for one.

does it still work that you can make an experienced player, have them play a game that same day, get them to soph before the end of their first season, and then use catch up to make them journeymen?

If you look at the guy's accounts on my Kentucky Mountaineers teams, they have lots of extra dots made to help them gain SPP. I think most keep their builds open but I'm not sure... I'm sure they'd rather have them on a human team instead of a cpu one, so you could send offers to whatever. The worse case they just deny the contracts, so whats to lose?

I'm not sure exactly how this works. I've only ever tried to add rookie players and catch them up mid season.
