How do you request a team to drop back down to the bottom for a restart? I can't find it.

Well you have to do it before day 40. If you still want to do it now, you really need to get it done before day -8 of the new season. Put in a support request.
If you dont care about your current team can sell it and just buy a rookie team if some are available.

buy the team first, before selling the old one - when you sell a team you can't buy another for 21 days

3-5 days is pretty typical. My guess is they will get it done before season rolls over.

It always takes Support (which at this point is Digital Daggers and a support staff of exactly zero) a few days to respond nowadays... usually 2-3 days, though sometimes longer. I imagine during the offseason, he prioritizes stuff that has to be done before season rollover first.
General advice for anyone who is thinking about putting in a Support ticket... basically, whenever I put in a Support ticket, I assume the response time will be about one week, and I plan accordingly. Sometimes stuff just happens and you don't know you'll need Support until you need them, but whenever possible, plan ahead if you know you're going to need Support to do something at some point. I've put in requests 3 weeks early before just to make sure I get onto DD's Outlook calendar.
Not saying you have to be happy that Support is this slow now, but... it is what it is. He's one guy, and there's not enough revenue for a larger staff, so... *exasperatedly resigned shrug.*

I get it. No complaint, I was just informing Rikkhen that he may be waiting a few days.
