70 pass aware, literally the play he has the most experience playing against, and this is his second time throwing it directly to a defender because QBs literally cannot read a zone defense.

https://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/716343/260207

This is only going to be exploited more and more, zone teams run very few plays because it doesn't matter at all how much experience QBs get facing a zone - they will throw it at a defender in time.

I mean, literally 2 of his 3 INTs were against the same play that he has had gold knowledge in for 3 seasons now.

This is game breaking, QBs completely being unaware of underneath coverage is absolutely ruining things, especially with how morale works in this game.

There needs to be an SA or something for QBs to defeat zone. In real life zone creates more intereceptions typically and is more bend but not break like it works here, unless you face a good QB. IRL a good QB will murder a defense that is all zone. I don't think the defense itself is overpowered on here, more needs to be done to allow building a QB that can beat it. I wish I could I could figure out how to effectively mix man and zone concepts on here personnel wise, it could really give people trouble.

Needs to be some mechanic to allow QBs to throw a receiver open vs zone or WRs to sit in a soft spot (throwing them open would probably be the better answer though b/c when WRs stop the underneath zone defender, no matter how far the WR is behind them, still usually has a roll at an int). With all the SAs that allow for speed, quickness, int, and deflect boosts (then also tackle boosts) while in zone it's pretty hard to complete passes, despite some routes being specifically designed to beat that type of coverage. This was actually a predominant factor in me choosing to a do a run-first team. Throwing vs zone atm is just too great of a risk.

High-low route combinations don't work, and while overloading is typically the way you beat zone as Xars has debated with corn in the past, per corn: it works the opposite way here. For reference, the SA Pump Fake is only supposed to fire when "nobody is open," yet it still fires when players appear fully uncovered.

I always thought it was wild that you could blitz 5 and still cover the entire field in zone but that's what happens when one play allows a player a running start at the QB. That's probably the biggest inhibitor to beating zone atm, pass blockers can't hold the rush long enough for someone to get behind the last zone of defense (despite many WRs having 90+ sprint lol). Eh, after looking at cover 2 sink the problem may be deeper, underneath defenders just have a huge range to bat down or int a ball that is being thrown to a WR 5-10 yards behind them.

Also FWIW, eyes on the prize gives a LB w/ base 70 stats a boost of ~68,000 SP for a span of three whole seconds, then also hits the offense with an STFU if it converts. I don't think any other SA lasts this long (not that it even really matters) besides, coincidently, Zone Shark. I don't think any SA rivals this kind of impact.

Has high pass power been tested against zone defense?

Yep. Higher pass power = lower velocity = more int chances.

it just seems to me its a fine with powerto get over the def but most of my qbs pretty good vs zone with test I have run last couple seasons plus everyone wants to attack it still with te I attack it with recievers on the outside more cause most people mlb just sit there waiting for that short throw

I believe he meant trajectory, when you have a high throw power you lazer every pass, which means no chance of going over someone's head and they get a better shot at an INT

Problem is even weak arm QBs throw fairly low, it's always better to get more but at a certain point it kills accuracy so bad you end up throwing it right at defenders anyhow. And you can't get it to a level to 'blow it by guys' without becoming useless at actually getting it where it is going.

Also it makes it much harder for your own receivers to catch the ball when defense is nearby but not close enough toget a hand on it.
