Just a n00b question, but do teams remain within their own leagues each season?

So, for example, my team is in the Goat League. Should I expect the entire league to go up to Sophomore, or will the teams be shuffled?

The subtext is that it has been a bruising first season in what is clearly the toughest rookie league - just curious if it's going to be as tough next year!

Generally you stay in the same league unless they combine 2... all leagues graduate together as far as progressing.

I feel like they are changed more often than not every season
