it's been days and it's still stuck on
"CPU Offers Pending
This player has requested some offers from CPU and needy human teams. Keep an eye on your alerts and check back in shortly."

'Coz something broke.

Easy work-around: go sign with a human team. There's PLENTY of openings.

CPU teams shouldn't be allowed to send contracts IMO. Agents can't even fill their teams right now.

Agreed. Time to eliminate CPU teams.

Agreed. That's a problem.

Solution: go sign with a human team.

(To be clear, I'm not aiming this next part at blitzboy in particular.)

I've never understood why people "raise" their dots on CPU teams all the way up to Plateau. Half the fun of this game is interacting with the other people on your team... why chop that off?

And before someone inevitably answers with "Why would I want all the drama of being on a human team?"... well, you'll probably join a perfectly drama-free human team once you reach Plateau, won't you? Low-drama teams are the norm in GLB, not the exception. If you truly run into drama that regularly from playing on human teams, that's a sign -- YOU are doing something to create drama around yourself, and you should probably re-evaluate how you're interacting with other players on this game.

I think some would want the noise, most teams have loud crickets at best.
Even when I start a CPU ,I usually sign somewhere, Its only use to start burning the training tokens, and see how it looks. That way i can retire if it looks wrong.

The problem has always been, any random jerkwad can buy a team.

There's no qualifications. Then when a depth chart doesn't get set, or bogus play calling, or whatever, the player can't quit. It takes a 14 day disappearance before you can get released, with admin support.

Every contract in GLB should have an out clause.

The CPU teams are at least fair. No play calling or depth chart bias.

IMO, everyone should stop buying teams and/or stop signing with them, and just play on CPU teams. All the CPU teams have their own team forums.

Might as well just play a single player game! Social network a little bit. You can still keep your distance!

I usually try not to feed the trolls, but I'll bite.

CPU teams can still have many different human agents on them. There's just no shenanigans.

If a group of people were so inclined, they could re-create dots over and over (or just reject offers and wait) to all get on the same team.

In theory, if enough people created dots for CPU teams, then it wouldn't really matter because many CPU teams would be populated.

There used to be a "D-League Challenge" where a bunch of agents would make all make the same position of dot, and then get on a CPU team. This would just be the next iteration of that concept.

I'm usually like "B2B..?!?!? F that yo, I'm out". And then I retire my dots. I've been ducking you for years

That doesn't mean you have to sign with any random jerkwad. I've been saying this to other agents since Season 5: don't just sign with the first owner who promises you a starting spot. Have a conversation with by PM. Size them up. Ask them questions. Double-check what they tell you... it's ridiculously easy to look at a team's past seasons and verify the owner's record. Ask you in-game friends if they've had any interaction with that owner before.

Hell, I've even advised agents that if an owner promises you a starting spot, RUN AWAY AND DO NOT SIGN WITH THEM. Such a promise can only mean one of two things: either they're stupid enough to keep you as the starter regardless of your actual performance because they feel like they need to keep their promise, or they're just saying whatever they think they have to say to get you to sign. In either case, that's not an owner you want to play for. As an owner, the most I've ever promised to an agent is that I'll try out their dot as the starter to begin the season, but I make it clear that KEEPING that starting spot is entirely dependent on how they perform. That's the sort of answer you should be looking for as an agent.

There, we agree. It's ridiculous that Support has to get involved in cases of clear douchebaggery by an owner. If an owner is dumb enough to make promises they shouldn't make, they should be held accountable for breaking those promises. But in the absence of out clauses, an agent looking for a new team needs to realize that some recruiting promises should actually be seen as red flags, not as golden tickets. If an owner makes you a promise they shouldn't make, they're not a good owner. Don't sign with them.

True. But also no chance of winning meaningful games against human-owned teams. And again, if you do your homework on owners who are recruiting your dot, you can figure out which owners are fair and good, versus which owners are biased in favor of their friends at your dot's expense.

All the problems you've mentioned are not problems with human owners. They're problems with BAD human owners.

I lost more than 1 survivor contest last season because more CPU teams are beating human run/filled teams. I know in the past, I have seen leagues won by CPU teams.
