You would think that pursuit would help with getting sacks but the way it reads I'm not sure. Can anyone enlighten me?

No it will not.

It will help with TFLs, but not sacks.

I think it may play a slight role in taking angles to the QB that can avoid blockers, but in general the QB isn't evading you, so you don't need it, like at all. Once you beat your man you should be fairly clear unless it's a 3 man send.

Now if you also want to have any chance at stopping a run as well, you're gonna need some.
