since i may be on travel and i don't know what my schedule will be like, i just wanted to clarify. i've always thought the first day you can build a dot (for the next season) is on day 41. to be specific, at the time that glb rolls over from d40 to d41. but according to some info i've found, you can build a 'next-season dot' on d40.

so is the earliest, from the time that it rolls over from d39 to d40? so, for those of us in the continental US, this year, it would be sometime in the early morning of wed, jan 29, 2020?

thanks for the responses.

i may have to leave on wed, 1/29, so i just wanted to make see if i build them very early that morning, i will be ok? otherwise, i may have to make some time before day 48.

as long as glb has rolled over to day 40, you're fine.

The training goes into the next season as well, but if you want to start the season at level 4, then the day 40-48 is the way to go.

Also, depending on just how long you will be gone, you can build them before the last day (day 48) rolls over into the next season and all TP's and everything will be available just as if you had built them on day 40.
If you build them but don't want to train them yet, the TP's will stockpile until you return. Just be sure to spend them and boost before day 48 rolls over into next season.

So if I build a player on day 35 what does that mean? Can I not use him in a new team when the season starts? I’m just buying a team so wanna start from scratch

Correct. If you build before day 40 he can’t play in rookie in the upcoming season. Dots do not age from day 40 to day 0. So you can build a dog any time in there and be fine. Building before day 40, they will age and will have to play in prep with dots 15+ levels higher than them

Preferably between day 40-48 so you can boost on day 48.

If you build on day 35, your dot would have to play in Prep next season instead of rookie. He would be against dots that are all 35 days older than him and would be at a distinct disadvantage his whole career. If you want to start at the bottom with a new dot and new team, you will want to be eligible to play in a rookie league and for that you would need to build day 40-48. You could even build on days -8 through day 0 next season, but your last boosts would have to wait until the end of his build. Most builders boost 3 times on day 48 from level 1 to level 4 technically before their rookie season starts.

The server runs on Mountain Time, not Eastern Time. The day rolls over at 12-midnight Mountain Time, which is 2:00am Eastern Time.

So do I miss out on anything if I build a player on day 47 instead of day 41?
