How imp would confidence be for a blocking fb?

The description says it help the fb maintain his composure after hard hits, fumbling or dropping a pass or when a team gives up a score but doesn't say anything about blocking.

Would help with the moral spins probably but how much depending on who the fb blocks, any suggestions on how much would be enough?

I'd bet minimal overall. Stamina and those SA's and especially VA's that reduce morale damage from hard hitting interactions would be decent but, when it comes to blocking, Strength, Blocking, and Stamina likely have the most impact. Confidence would likely be something important if your BFB did a LOT of pass blocking (staying in the block for QB)... then, anytime the defense sacked the QB (or even hurried, I would guess) it would slam the morale of the FB until he didn't preform well at his job. All of this is more observation than written fact though so someone else might think differently.

Not super important, although I do like going to 40, just as protection against the few odd teams running overlapping defensive Aura of Intimidates. Also allows for a dinky investment of 1 VA point to OTK, to grab 5% to all stats in over time.

Or even 5 OTK, to get that boost for the last 2 minutes to help your power run game seal away the last few minutes of a close game in the 4thQ. That said, there are FAR more important VAs and I would probably move up confidence as the very last attribute in the build.

Stamina? Hmm, Id have the triumvirate of strength, blocking and agility with a reasonable amount of speed (depending on the FBs role might even be more important than agility). Vision and stamina would be next, but how much vision is determined by how much movement of your FB is required away from the o-line.

Confidence (to answer the OPs post), Id cap at 40 as Gambler commented about (and for similar reasons).

Thanks all, My plan is to try for 40 in conf but that will also be the last part of the build.
be concentrating mostly on strength, blocking, agility, speed mostly with vision ending up around 68 and stamina around 60

I have seen previously bfb before where they only had 60 in vision and that didn't seem enough for vision checks when blocking esp on outside runs.

Not 100% sure yet on the speed/strength if I go all speed in eq it should end up around 143, if i put some in strength speed would end up around 133, could play with these numbers also mixing them up a little diff with the eq.

The build I am trying would be mostly for blocking in the run game even though I will add some pts to spot blitz but that could be dropped and use the 9 sk pts elsewhere.

below is an aprox build of what my build on this dot will look like

strength: 103
speed: 88 +55 in eq=143 (opt would be putting up to 10 more in strength)
agility: 91
blocking: 86
vision: 70
stamina: 60
confidence: 40

sa's
top sa tree: hands:6 lead blk:10 spot blitz:6 strong arm:1 pancake:1
extra sa's- 1st step:10 run block:10
2 hold block% aeq

va's- to be distributed to fit build.

should be solid

Just as a side note, I LOOOOVE Speed on blocking FBs. The pathing for lead-blocking FBs has always seemed a little off to me, but I've found that the faster a FB is, the better they are at staying ahead of the HB and throwing a block.

Ya, that's why I am leaning on speed for all aeq and leaving strength at 103. If you say that the speed helps more in the pathing along with decent vision prlly go that route, (might even drop the pts in spot blitz sa and add 2 more to vision) I am not building the dot to to be a pancake machine just engage in a block long enough to hold the defender off for a bit, hopefully only having 103 in strength will be enough so the dot doesn't get reverse caked to much.

Plan looks good. However if you can I would try and get STAM to around 64 IF you get SPD above 140 with EQ.

Wouldn't having 2 x HB% gear mean that your FB will hold on to the block longer than necessary? Pancake would put the player quickly down allowing him to move on to the next.

you have a point there but how many pancakes is a bfb with only 103 strength going to pancake 155+ strength d-linemen. It could be useful against the secondary.
Only looking at 2x hb% cause the blocking attr will only be at 86 on end build

I would rock 2 HB% too. dont care for spot blitz. would prefer more in strong arm and pancake
