GLB2 stole far too many agents away... splitting up the user base badly and leaving both games with not enough players. Now it's so divided in loyalties between the two games that if they closed down either one to solve the problem, they'd lose even MORE players. Thom's problem is he bought a CPU team because it was in a weak league filled with CPU teams and, therefore, the team he bought was likely going to make the playoffs... as a CPU team. Once you buy the team though, you get the huge 'Human Owned Team Filled With CPU Dots' penalty and now everything is sucking. He mistakenly thinks adding coaches will solve the problem but can't find anyone to coach. We've told him why that is. He's not interested in that explanation.
More people = more dots & more coaches. More dots & coaches = more (human owned) teams. More (human owned) teams = more fun.
If GLB wanted to do something different to attract new players, I would suggest giving away a bit of starting flex as a sign up bonus incentive. Why? Right now you CAN play for free... you CAN sign up for free... but you quickly learn that if you want to really COMPETE then you need to buy/spend flex to enhance your dots or build your teams. That feels like a 'sucker's trap' where you're lured in with the promise of 'FREE' only to find real fun costs $. GLB has already given us free dots... that's nice and all that... but if they want NEW players to come in, check things out, have some fun, and get addicted to this crazy game, then give the newbies a reason to stay long enough to become addicted as we are to this thing. And, before anyone says anything, NO... it shouldn't be made retroactive for all of us already here. It's for new players only to get new players to join up so ALL OF US can have more fun.
