this isnt some hybrid k/p, this is an actual punter with a whooping 9 in kicking hitting a fg at the pro level from 50 yards http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2970212&pbp_id=324904

Wow, just BARELY makes it, but he makes it. Looks like he nailed a 36-yarder in the same game too.

I imagine Strength, Vision and Confidence all affect the make-FG roll, and those are all Attributes that many well-built punters are high in. Looks like if those are all high enough, they can partially overcome the effects of only having 6 in Kicking. But I'm also willing to bet that 9 times out of 10, he misses that FG.

i've tried to use punters before and they are ok under 40, but never seen a straight up punter hit from 50. almost have to wonder if kicking is overrated....LOL

Proof that even a blind squirrel can hit the occasional FG, eh?

Got me to wondering if anyone has tried using the Kicker as a punter and with what results?

It would have to be the lowest possible penalty as opposed to having anything BUT a kicker/punter in those slots. IMO.

yeah but is it 5%? 10%? or 15%? i feel like some of the oop numbers have been published at some point but that would have been forever ago so maybe im confused.

Not 100% sure (brain is old) but I think the lowest possible % is 5% for OOP.

I remember it being 5-40% as a range...so you would think K/P would be 5%

But even so, we arent talking 5% of like 80, punter had NINE in kicking LOL

Has anyone ever tried kicking/punting with a QB? Is the oop too much?

Interesting discovery. STR VIS and CON and maybe AGI being high enough offsets the low KCK and OOP.
Since it was Pro there shouldn't have been any buff.

Someone should scrim/test that hypothesis.
On kickoff he was weak but maybe with boomingKick and a special team built for FF (where you want a return) might be interesting.
