Good game, KP. We're both having rough seasons right now... hopefully you can turn things around.

I have never -- EVER -- felt the need to go check my gameplan, AIs, and Calendar for evidence of sabotage... until today. For the record, I found no such evidence. But that's how WEIRD the results of today's game look to me.

I need to watch more replays later tonight, but as far as I can tell so far, both Adriatic and Palm Bay recycled the same gameplans today that we used in our Tourney game. Palm Bay won the Tourney game 49-23, but lost today 10-7.

That may be the wildest RNG swing I've ever seen in GLB. Truly bizarre.

Congrats, Adriatic, on contributing to the strangest GLB season I've ever been a part of.

And Montlake toppled the Lancers too.

Be right back, I'm throwing my crystal ball in the recycling bin, where it clearly belongs.

I tweaked a couple of things in the DAI. One in the Strong I and the other in the Single Back. Those were the two formations where we got burned in the first game.

In that case, I tip my hat to you on a well-deserved win. You adjusted, we didn't, and that's how games get won and lost sometimes. Good game!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 5 games, your Conference leaders are Montlake and 4th Street.

Let that sink in for a bit.

I haven't watched the game, so I don't know what impact the tweaks had on the result. As you posted earlier, it might have been rng.

heh, to be fair, VenomCoach has won WL gold before, so it was just a matter of time before montlake turned the corner. and not that this is everything, but they have the highest EL of all 12 teams.

With us, we benefit from a far weaker division...there's a perfectly good chance we don't steal *any* of our cross division games. But our plateau team is in their last season and thus isn't going to make WL, so we have given 4th street a little more time than we otherwise would have to clean up the AIs and such.

but I do totally get it that it isn't what would have been expected coming into the year! it's been really nice to have a non-plateau league that is competitive and exciting. I'm also really glad that the divisions did work out the way they did, so that there's not just a bunch of blowout games. makes things a bunch more interesting.

good times!

Actually, Mets have highest EL, which shows how little it means

I like your confidence here.

"Hey two ex WL teams are at the top of our conferences! I don't know why I'm shocked, but I am!"

*shrug* I was away from the game for 30+ seasons, and the current generation of both Montlake and 4th Street haven't shown us much prior to this season, so this season is surprising me so far.

With the way we're playing so far, I'm actually nervous about 4th Street for the first time ever.
